Omari Hardwick is absolutely AMAZING as Ghost. He gives power to this awesomely complex character. He shows the true human side of a man caught up in a lifestyle that he wishes he could change but is powerless to do so. Power is a must see!

I really got this for the action and the incredible martial arts actors. I could have done without the heart string pulling subplot that didn't make any sense at the end. I do like gritty action sequences, so some of these choreographed moments enhanced by CG had me going, "C'mon! No way!" but all in all, a good flick to sit back and enjoy.

I was a fan of the movie in the theaters and I am a bigger fan of the ultimate edition. Like so many, I myself did feel slightly confused at the version shown in the theater because quite a few things didn't make sense and some of the story was just a bit confusing. I'm glad to say that the Ultimate Edition clarifies most of the confusion and is a much better story to tell. Looking forward to Justice League now and looking forward to what other DC Projects are to come.
On a side note, the extra special editions on the Ultimate Edition are awesome and definitely worth seeing as well.

Hard to enjoy fully the first time. There are so many links to the story that are hard to catch till your second time around. So much deeper than the first 2 movies. It's the type to age better with time.
As for the Bluray+DVD+Digital Version it doesn't seem like there is any über special content that I'd pay more for even even being a big GITS fan from the beginning. Just the extra DVD works to share with friends.

Blu ray looks beautiful. Top notch audio, video and plenty of good little extras for those that care for that. The anime itself is pretty good but just a little too over the top for me. I love Ninja Scroll and those type of super powered characters but some of the villains here are just too absurd even for an anime. One shoots out 50 or so missiles from a rocket launcher and then has missiles busting out of his hi-tech arm all the while his partner has a patch eye that is examining everything on the battlefield and Afro Samurai bob and weaves, slides, jumps, ducks, and runs past all of that without a single hint of desperation, anxiety, worrisome or stress. That's another fault of this otherwise pretty cool anime, afro samurai is too invincible at times.

One of the greatest horror movies I've seen in years this film has some great jump scares and little gross humor mixed in. It also has an interesting hidden message. The acting and special effects all hold up as well. If you liked Evil Dead or Brain Dead you'll love this.

There is no real mystery in the film. A terrorist (Alon Aboutboul) who lives in rubble is also a world class arms dealer who needs to create terror and wars to sell arms. Once you get past that, we are introduced to Michael (Gerald Butler) whose job is to protect the president (Aaron Eckhart) in a formula film. When the Prime Minister of England dies, 28 head of states go to London for the funeral and to watch the special effects unfold as London is attacked both with explosions and by cyber. Only Gerald Butler can save the Prez.

Verified Purchase This was a good movie. To be frank, it isn't in the same caliber as "Scream"; Those expecting this movie to be like "Scream" should understand that this is essentially a supernatural B version of that movie and that it contains no superstars. Although this movie follows the same formula as "Scream", the story is a hybrid of other horror films. In-spite of the negative reviews, this movie did fulfill my expectations for a horror film. It is entertaining, creative, suspenseful, well developed, and decently acted. There is limited gore/horror. I would classify this as more of a suspenseful slasher/thriller. The characters are decently developed and the ending is wrapped up in one neat bow. Could they have made the movie better? Of course! Did they need to? No. In short, this is definitely worth a rental.
This release features the first four films from the computer-animated [children]'s franchise, bringing together Ice Age, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Ice Age: Continental Drift on one multi-disc set.

Great Movie Set but don't think that you will receive the digital copy....it has expired long ago. Hate that this wasn't in the description but I do still enjoy the Blu-ray/dvd, they work perfectly.

If you could compare the original Afro Samurai to a innovative new game, Resurrection is more of an expansion pack than a sequel. It opens up with a cliched depowering of the hero Afro and rehashes the original's plot with some twists. The quality of the animation is superb as well as the art. The music is good, but doesn't seem to be as good of an effort as the first one. Afro really doesn't go through any significant character development and by the end of the movie is right back where he was at the end of the last movie. Its fun for a rental but I regret buying it. Make sure you watch till the end of the credits for a teaser scene.
