The is a pretty good movie, better than I expected. Joseph Gordon Levitt is an excellent rising star. The plot is atypical girl gets in trouble and guy has to help her out....

Great streaming device...

The Apple TV is an excellent streaming device. The wi-fi is very sensitive, I can get faster streaming with it over my two Sony BR players which do not support hi-speed wi-fi.
The only drawback is that it does not support VUDU which most of the new movies support. I am finding less support for the iTunes library.

The PS3 does not recognize external HDD. You will have to buy a larger internal HDD...

you have to find a USB Floppy drive... Floppy drives have been extinct for several years and it would be pretty hard to find one...

Personal Home Cloud Network setup
I am looking at setting up a home network using either a WD or Seagate My Cloud hard drive. The concern I have is we use multiple systems in the house (PCs, MacBook, IPad, Galaxy, ....) and I want to be able to access the home network using any and all of these systems. When I read through the setup instructions for the WD and Seagate, they are either for the PC or Mac; there's not much guidance on across platform setup. Am I able to setup the network so I have access to it using any of my systems? if so how do I go about doing this?
It does not matter what OS you use as the Cloud drive will appear as a network drive. If the device can detect the network, it should detect the cloud drive.
The only thing is how the devices have the ability to back up to the cloud drive. They all can back up but it may have to be done manually...

Newer motherboards do not have IDE/PATA connectors. You will have to buy a new HDD as the ribbon cable is a parallel cable and the newer ones are serial type and are not compatible...

SATA drives are getting cheap... You could pick up a 250GB SATA drive for about $80 or so. You have to check if your computer has an internal SATA connector. IF not, you will need to buy a PCI SATA card.

You have to check if your eMachine desktop uses an IDE/PATA or a SATA HDD... I think the eMachines used IDE/PATA connectors. If so, you will have a hard time finding a replacement as they have been more or less phased out by SATA drives. I would look into a WD 250GB HDD. Again, you will have to get more information as really older computers may not recognize drives of large capacity...

You can put in any desktop HDD with no issue. You just have to make sure if the interface is SATA or IDE.

Not likely. I believe laptops back then used IDE interfaces and the SSD uses a SATA interface...
