I'm not an expert but this does the job

I got this after returning the LX101 that was to warm for my taste. This one runs way cooler. This is the first receiver I've ever owned and while I like playing with technology this didn't require me having a PhD in the subject.
The menus are intuitive, the setup wizard is dummy proof and the Android /iOS app is very helpful. I'm not 100% convinced about the results from the Auto calibration, but at least gives you a starting point to start you manual setup. I'm not sure but for some reason it always set my speakers to Large when I run MCACC, that doesn't work with my speakers and makes their levels to be a bit lower than what I like.
hopefully that is something that they can fix on a future firmware update. So far they have been a few of them to add new features. everyone else recommends Yamaha or Denon but I'm happy with the value I got with this purchase.

I got this to set new tv equipment in family room.
the spacing is not great if you have large plug or converters.
You can find similar products with more plugs for the price of this one.
it does work, but unfortunately I don't want to find out how good it is ate surge protection so you will have to figure out on your own.

The kids show look amazing. wife is happy watching her stuff too.
Movies will look ok as well, but don't expect much as this is an entry tv with 60Hz refresh rate.

it can do 4k blurays and can watch tv in my media room without having to add charges for another cable box.
MS need to add bitstream for the lossless audio formats for this to replace having separate players and media streamers.
the image quality is there it just need to cathc-up in audio capabilities and will win against PS, roku, or any other similar device, but still needs some more work to go.

It fills my room almost at the lowest Gain setting.
It makes enjoying movies and music a new experience.
The rumble effect is there without rattling my walls and the wife has not complained about the noise getting out of the media room even though I'm getting full audio immersion.

i don't need to set gain to high for it to give the rumble effect and fill my room. It makes watching movies and listening to music that much more rewarding.

Light bleeding for this TV is inevitable if the brightness is set to high (like for HDR content).
the picture quality is great and the upscaling is almost flawless.
the smart feature are great addition.
passive 3D does the trick but is not as good as my other Sony with active.
It would look great on a bright lighted family room.
if you find the few left dirt cheap i would recommend it.

I use it with Samsung 3d glasses that you can find as low as 17.99.
i watched several 3d movies and have enjoyed the experience even with a room that is not completely dark.
