Just an Average Laptop

We Needed something for kids to do Homework, wife to follow-up on emails from teachers and pay bills. this is ok for just that.
I'm not used to no having SSD on a system anymore and I knew this was not going to be like that, but still boot up is a bit sluggish.
we do not power the system down too frequently so it might not be a problem, but it could be annoying if you are aware of it.
I'm still getting used to Windows 10 so I'm not making any judgement there. If you know what your needs are and don't expect much out of the system this could fit the needs for ~80% of the population.

Great TV for small places

We moved to a new house and the built in space for TV in the family room could only fit a 32" TV.
This is the best I could find on that size and for <$300.
it has all the nice feature for watching movies and regular TV. the smart features are nice and responsive.
the only problem it has is that it's so small the image gets lost in our large family room. The image looks great, the sound is great, but this TV size is more fit for a kids room or college dorm (somewhere with space constrains). I wish I had more space so I could get the larger version of this TV, but I don't and that is not the TV's fault.
This is the best I could find on that size and for <$300.

Stream media with this Samsung BD-J5900/ZA Blu-ray player. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.

It's just a cheap BD player

I needed to add another BD player so the wife could easily set the kids to watch movies in the family room if needed.This is just ok at doing that. It's not a model with 4K scaling and still uses 2.4G Wifi.
if you need something friendly for the wife and Kids to watch movies, this is it.
I would have preferred to get something with better image features (4k scaling for future proofing) and skip the smart/streaming features since most TV's these days can do those more seamlessly. This is more of wishful thinking since all BD players this days are designed the same way.
I would have given a streaming device in this age at wireless AC to be able to keep with the demand, but again I did not get it for the streaming features.
if you need something friendly for the wife and Kids to watch movies, this is it.

Great Non-4K TV with top TV features

My First HDTV cost me >$2500 more than 10 yrs ago; the TV that followed (~5yrs later) that was half the price and with significant improvement in image quality. This TV is also at that half price point being at <$700.
the bump in size, image quality and features is certainly >10x better than that first TV I purchased 10 yrs ago. This is my last TV purchase on the 1080p level, but the experience that it brings for watching all my current content that is still on 1080p level its unparalleled.
Watching my bluray movies look a lot better and the experience with the few 3d movies that we had collected has left us wondering why we didn't get a 3d capable tv before. the TV is located in an open game room at the house where there is not control for lighting since it's open to downstairs family room. Even without having a dark room the image can be enjoyed, the 3d feature can be used without having to be on a completely dark room. all the android TV features are a plus by themselves and are a good selling point if you have an all android home like mine. I get all my Google play content handy for streaming some of the movies and videos I already have in my library. I was able to watch my digital copy of Guardian of the Galaxy through a WiFi connection with no lag and perfect image quality.
The controls to adjust picture presets for viewing sports, movies or standard TV are very easy and I'm not 100% sure but it seems like the TV can adjust can adjust to some of them automatically.
I'm using an old Sony sound-bar I already owned so i can't tell much about the TV speaker since I haven't used them at all. The one thing I haven't figured out yet but I have almost given up on, is getting the HDMI ARC feature to work between the sound bar and the TV, but the sound bar model I have is several years old and it may not have standard version of ARC so I can't ding the TV for that but Sony should do more compatibility testing between their devices.

is this TV real 3D?
I'm not sure if it is real or Fake 3d.
I use it with Samsung 3d glasses that you can find as low as 17.99.
i watched several 3d movies and have enjoyed the experience even with a room that is not completely dark.
ANT Man movie in 3d was amazing.
my kids have watched a few Disney movies in 3D and they love the experience.
the extra level of details obtained is amazing.
