This 4th film directed by Ben Affleck is not his best but Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo are ALL hard acts to follow. Without that unfair context, this is a fine, solid film. Just temper your expectations.

I love B&TB as much as the next person (within reason) but honestly, this film is a bit overrated. Doesn't really do much to differentiate itself from the animated classic so it feels a little dry and dull at times, but of course you want to add to your collection.
