Impressive first season, great Blu ray set

Finally, a superhero who isn't brooding or angry all the time. Supergirl found its perfect tone right from the start. It manages to get stellar performances from its cast (Calista Flockhart is especially impressive as Cat Grant).
As for the Blu ray set, it's a must-have if you're a fan of the show. The show looks amazing in HD. And the bonus features, while mostly brief, are nice to have. Check the blooper reel!
A no-brainer for the superhero fan in your life. And a much safer bet for family entertainment than the rest of the DC television universe.

Enjoyed this nice change-of-pace, a decidedly more adult version of the "dark knight." Having said that, it wasn't really as shocking as I expected. And for parents worried about the "R" rating, I actually think a PG-13 would have sufficed. But this isn't kid-friendly Batman, for sure. It's certainly a treat to have Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill back in their familiar roles.

For those of us who came of age in the 80's, few movies are more beloved (or, let's face it, quotable) than Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride. The film's gorgeous cinematography really shines in high definition. And a selection of bonus features is sure to delight fans. In my opinion, no Blu-ray collection is complete without The Princess Bride. Plus, at the time of purchase, it was a steal at only $7.99. But don't steal it. . .buy your copy. Now.

If you don't want to spend 15-20 bucks on a large spindle of blank discs, this 10-pack is a great way to go. I've been using them for about a year or so, and have not had any problems with the discs. As a concession to the price point, the packaging does leave a little to be desired.

I was nine when the original Star Wars came out, so I'm the very definition of a "Star Wars Kid." And while The Force Awakens doesn't reach the heights of the first two original films, it IS better than Return of the Jedi or any of the prequels. The Blu-ray has some good in-depth features, much like the bonus material found in the "Complete Saga" box set.

I've noticed that, as streaming content becomes more popular, blank DVD's are getting more scarce. It's a shame, because I've amassed quite a collection of show and movies in the format, and I don't care a thing in the world for streaming. Anyway, I was happy to find these moderately-priced ($9.99 for a spindle of 25 discs) DVD-R's from Dynex. I've been thru probably 100 or more discs, and haven't had any issues with them, in recording or playback.

Set against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the film introduces many of the mutant heroes fans have grown to love in the previous films. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are outstanding as the future Professor X and Magneto.

Set in the 1980s, this sitcom follows 11-year-old Adam (Sean Giambrone) as he documents the many goings-on of his family using a trusty video camera. Among his recordings include the antics of his over-the-top mother (Wendi McLendon Covey), hot-tempered dad (Jeff Garlin), and his sister and brother (Hayley Orrantia, Troy Gentile). I missed out on seeing The Goldbergs from the beginning on t..v, so I was hoping to catch up with it on DVD. I was a teenager during the time of the show, so it's very relatable (if not always 100% accurate). It's not always LOL funny (like Modern Family), but the more time you spend with these characters, the funnier it gets.
And while I prefer to watch newer shows on Blu-ray, the DVD picture is excellent. In fact, when played back on my Blu-ray player, I could swear I was watching it in that format.
Definitely recommended to anyone who lived thru the 80's or anyone who still appreciated a well-scripted sitcom.
