I liked the idea of no cords, but the longest I could listen to music was 2.5 hours.. I sit at my desk all day and like to have one ear plug in, so I can still hear other things around me. It concept was good, but with them only lasting 2.5 hours it was not worth it. Plus they started to make my ear sore. I returned them for Bose.

Yes. This VivoSmart is very good in water. If I'm not mistaken, there may be a place in the app or on the Garmin PC dashboard to adjust for swim settings.

I don't care to wear it on my wrist because it is uncomfortable due to my job.

I'm not sure how well it would do on ankle. Unless you have considerably tiny ankles, I think that'll be a problem. Depending on exactly what you're looking for, there are other brands you can just clip onto your clothing or your shoes. Good luck!
