Something the whole family could enjoy

I always pay attention to films which Kevin Spacey stars in - his character portrayals enrich the movie experience and, with his width and depth as an actor, you can always count on a great performance.
From a comedic standpoint, it doesn't stretch his ability but rather allows his acting ability to add to the film.
And, what film isn't interesting without Christopher Walken - he just isn't used enough.
My 7 year-old granddaughter, who has her own cats, thoroughly enjoyed this movie, since she thought the view from the cat's side as expressed by someone in the cat, kept her attention with grins all around.

After two re-boot movies, the third installment of the new Star Trek series brought back the character dialogue interplay the original series showed as it matured.
Fast-paced and highly enjoyable, as with all movies these days with enhanced special effects which, in this case, don't detract from the story, this is full fledged Star Trek as it was meant to be.

Get over it - it's a great take

While the characters in this all-female version of Ghostbusters didn't seem to gel quickly enough in the beginning, or have the ease of interaction of the original cast, give it some time. It really seemed to come together in the last third of the movie and, with updated special effects, it was worth the ride - add the ever enjoyable Chris Hemsworth, especially his flash mob routine at the end, and the advanced weaponry of in the hands of Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), it's a great take - the only thing missing in terms of a character guest appearance was - what happened to Rick Moranis.

Setting the story straight

Unfortunately, most of us have grown up with the Tarzan movies based on the 30's and 40's Johnny Weissmuller versions of the stories.
Unfortunately, if you've read the books, the Tarzan movies from the 30s and 40s in no way presents the character as portrayed in the books, that is, the un-educated but jungle-wise, caring, sensitive brute versus the well-educated and well-spoken British man-of-the-world.
While this version of Tarzan was well-done and photographed, well-played and enjoyable (and a great cast), considering the maturity of the character, it seemed that the characters lacked some depth as well as not providing enough to back-up the committed relationship of John Clayon, Viscount Graystoke and Jane.

So Much for Touch Screen

You'd imagine having a touch screen device and a pressure sensitive pen would be enough to take advantage of something like Photoshop Elements for managing photos. It's not, unless that touch screen device provides a digitized screen.
In working with photographs for touch-up, the ability to manage fine-grained images, like hair, is next to impossible without a drawing pad device.
The Wacom digital pad, and it was the mid-range model - in terms of price, fit the bill. Easy USB attach, ease of integration (Photoshop Elements provides that driver and device interface out-of-the-box) and well-integrated menu choices, shows that the Wacom Drawing pad is an excellent addition for drawing and photo touch-up for both the novice and the seasoned professional.

With a little one in the house, it's tough to turn up the surround sound volume in order to experience the full range of dialogue, background sounds and soundtrack music.
This set of ear phones, with the padded ear pieces, block out non-movie-related background noise and provide the full range of sound needed for enjoyable viewing. Add on the 20ft extension cable, and watching and listening from the couch provides a best experience.

Marvel movies are superior to DC movies in that they're brightly lit for one thing versus DC movies which are always so dark, both in character and presentation. The story lines and character development far exceed anything which DC produces.
Captain America Civil War is so rightly done and the next phase of the Cap series. There are some character additions and surprises that makes the movie such a joy. Well worth the wait on Blu-Ray and I've watched this over and over again.

A Great Sequel Extension

If you were paying attention to the first move, you'll understand what unanswered questions posed in the first which forms some of the basis of the sequel.
I've found that the sequel gets better the more times I watch it and watching the first then the second over time carries the continuity of the story.
Lizzie Caplan was an interesting replacement for Isla Fisher - not as sexy, but different. Cross story lines and characters (including Woody playing 2 roles) perhaps may have added some complexity to the storyline, but the card stealing sequence was a gem. As well, it was nice to see Mark Ruffalo have an expanded role in magic.

The Notched Plate and Quick Heating

My old Sharp Microwave from 12 years ago died because the push-in door opener busted and, as it was old, no replacement part was available. Considering it's age and such and it's longevity, I looked at buying a new Sharp as well worth the investment.
Having the glass rotator place with notches built into the plate made more sense than having them on the rotator insert. As well, being able to push Start multiple times, each push adding 30 seconds to the time, was a real time saver. The modified control panel took a little getting used to, as well as the change in the door opening panel.
There's no downside here, except to say that no vendors carried the size and color I wanted which caused a delay in getting the microwave in place - and, it's amazing to realize just how dependent you are on one until you don't have it.
