This is used and it came in pristine condition. That was impressive. It's been a while since I have played a basketball video game. The graphics are good and the game runs very well.
As I said, it's been quite some time since I have played a basketball video game. I'm having problems remembering the number of combinations for the many different offensive and defensive moves coupled with proper execution. The thing is the many different moves is what helps to make it so realistic. Honestly, it's a bit of a challenge and can get frustrating. That said, I think with more practice it'll be less cumbersome. I definitely see the potential for it to be a great game. I have watched gameplay online so I know it's not impossible despite my feeling that way sometimes. LOL
All in all I think it's still good game.

Above Average but I Don't Love It

Not sure how helpful this will be to others but here goes...
It's a good TV. While I can't say I love it I can say I like it a lot. Perhaps if I get some help from a 4K enthusiast I will enjoy it more. I can't wait to start watching 4K Blu-rays but it will be a while yet. My Xbox 360 games and Chromecast are pretty darn nice. Despite all that I don't think I am getting full use of the television like I have read and heard about but I think it's a learning curve which is why I am giving it 4 instead of 3 stars. I didn't feel much like spending a couple hundred more dollars for "expert" setup and configuration so I'm dealing with it best I can. Might place a call out to Samsung to see if they can't help me spruce things up a bit.
There are three things I do not like at all. First thing, the stands or feet or whatever the heck those things are called. I simply don't like them. They remind me of chicken feet minus a few phalanges - lol. But seriously, that's a personal thing and I know it has nothing to do with the quality potential of the TV viewing experience. Unfortunately, I don't see the amazing true black I keep hearing about. Perhaps my eyes are failing and that's why I haven't grasped it. Lastly, there is this funny residual rainbow like thing I see when the screen is blank or during a fade between scenes. I'm thinking since I sprung for Geek Squad extra warranty service I may have them come out and take a look. Hope to God it's covered and they won't charge extra.
Lastly, if you have a good home theater system and you like action movies, please PLEASE watch Mad Max: Fury Road. On any UHD or SUHD TV (and I suspect OLED) this movie rocks! Fantastic sound quality! Kinda ticked my neighbors off (downside to apartment living) but I really didn't mean to so I turned it down a spell. :-/

What are the best settings if you want the player, not the TV, to upscale? I saw that Auto 2 should be set but what about output resolution? I don't see much difference between Auto and 4k. What about Original?
Not sure if you got your answer elsewhere but I am going strictly by memory here. I think you need to keep it on Auto for upscale to work. If you select 2160p it won't upscale anything that is less than that because that's what you selected as playback. It needs to read the lower quality in order to upscale it. I hope that makes some bit of sense to you. Also, I suggest you checkout a guy on YT called Mr4KUpscaler. His videos tend to be a bit long but he has been helpful more than once. He does a fairly thorough job with his review/setup of this player.
Lastly, make sure you are using the right type of HDMI cable. It needs to be premium certified. Monoprice and SecurOMax are two brands I can recommend. I stress this to anyone when talking about this stuff because I did not have a good cable when I got this player. So, I am speaking from experience.

If you are looking at the TV, what side are the hdmi/toslink ports on? left or right?
The TV comes with a connect box. It's like an HDMI hub so the ports are on the box. The Toslink port is there. I don't know how many it has I didn't pay that much attention but I do know there is at least one.
