perfect for any room where you do not need the sound quality of the larger version. This is good for voice commands but for listening to music you might want to use something else. Also this does not have an audio output which is disappointing.

Yes it can work on your BOSE system but you will need an adapter. The bose system has a digital optical toslink input as well as an analog RCA input. The chromecast audio has 1/8" stereo analog output as well as mini toslink output. You would need a mini toslink to toslink cable or a 1/8" stereo to RCA cable to make it work. They are both very inexpensive cables.
