After about five years of looking at a 47 inch LG HGTV, I finally convinced the wife we ahould upgrade. This TV is worth every penny.
Startup: Once you press power, this monster is ready to go. No loading. No buffering. Bam. Blu Ray. Xbox One. Just hit on and God.
Picture. Outstanding. Watched Dunkirk on regular blu ray and it was amazing. Sharp picture, deep blacks, and amazing contrast.
Sound is great. Huge upgrade over the LG I had.
If youre looking to spend $2k on a TV, this is a good way to do it.

Currently watching and I'm not convinced that this is a huge upgrade over the blu ray. The picture is sharp, but there are still some grainy scenes. Sound is good but not great.
Regardless of how good the 4k version is, this is an absolutely incredible movie.

This is the fourth or fifth version of this movie Ive owned since it was released on VHS back in the day. This remaster does the movie justice. The picture in 4K is incredible, but what sets this apart from the blu ray version is the soundtrack. Fighting through "The Mogue" you hear everything. Every crack of a bullet, every footstep, every explosion in oerfect detail. Definitely worth picking up in 4K.

I'll preface this review with the fact that I am not big on horror movies. Most of them are cheesy low budget "jump scare" type movies that I tend to avoid. I was intrigued by this movie since I spent most of my twenties playing COD: N*zi Zombies, and this is pretty much the film version of it. Pilou Asbaek isn't wasted in this role like he was as Euron Greyjoy...

My wife is a huge Robin Hood fan and insisted that we purchase this. The writing is bad. The characters are one dimensional. The directing leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The only bright spots, and the only thing saving this movie from a one star review, are the performances of Taron Egerton and Ben Mendhelsohn, the latter of which was just born to play the bad guy, and excels at it.

The marketing for this movie did it absolutely no favors, and I refused to see it in theaters. I did catch it on a flight after its release and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this was. Tom Hardy is brilliant, but the movie suffers from a predictable and lackluster villain. Hopefully the sequel provides a better antagonist.

I'm not sure what I expected, but my expectations may have been too high after the release of Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, both of which are outstanding movies. Captain Marvel is paced very well, mixes humor and action quite well, but just falls short of the more recent Marvel movies.

The original Ant Man was probably the best surprise of the Marvel Universe, as it was funny, had decent action, and a villain that was a super powered what have you from another planet (looking at you, Grimace).
The original is barely worth noting, except for the post credits scene, which is really the only reason this movie is worth watching, since it ties into Infinity War and I'm assuming Endgame.
