Worth the price of admission for the movie alone (which looks great on 4k), but the outtakes and the commentary really seal the deal. Skip the first Suicide Squad and go straight for James Gunn!

This release just set the standard for how to restore a movie for 4k. I went straight for the theatrical cut and wow. I've seen Apocalypse Now just about every way you can on home video and this was revelatory. I'll watch Redux and the Final Cut down the line, but this was like watching it for the first time, all over again.

As Incredible Hulk movies that aren't also Thor movies go, this is my favorite. I don't mean to set the bar low but this is middle tier Marvel, before they'd really settled into what a "Marvel" movie was, and it's pretty good. The 4k is an improvement in most ways over the BD, and the price is much lower than most of the MCU discs (thanks to being released by Universal and not Disney) so try it again if you haven't seen The Incredible Hulk in a while. It's better than Iron Man 2...

I really enjoyed Denis Villenueve's Sicario, and wasn't expecting a sequel, so Day of the Soldado caught me by surprise. It's not necessarily as good, but Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro still make the film worth watching (although Emily Blunt is sorely missed). They make a curious hint towards more Sicario films in the extras, so... maybe?

You need to stick with Legion for a little bit in order to make sense of the sensory overload being thrown at you, but it's worth it. This show doesn't mind going off the deep end and expecting you to keep up, and I appreciate that. Bring on Season 2 (hopefully in HD, but Fox doesn't seem that invested in their series after the first season as of late).

I'm pretty sure I made a review for the BD of John Wick Chapter 2 so I'll dispense with the plot recap for this one. I know some people don't like it as much but I appreciated how much Chapter 2 expands the world of John Wick, but what I'd really like to address is how much HDR makes the difference with this disc. Wow! I'm not normally crazy about things feeling like they pop of the screen but this looks fantastic.
Marvel's potty-mouthed mercenary anti-hero is back in this laugh- and action-packed sequel. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) assembles a team of mutants called X-Force in order to stop cybernetic, time-traveling soldier Cable (Josh Brolin) from killing Russell Collins (Julian Dennison), a young mutant who will murder Cable's family in the future. What could possibly go wrong when Deadpool and Cable are forced to put their differences aside and work together? With Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin. 119 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby Atmos, DVS 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles English (SDH), Spanish, French; gag reel; photo gallery; deleted scenes; extended scenes; featurettes; audio commentary. Four-disc set.

Deadpool 2 is exactly what you'd want a sequel to Deadpool to be. For good measure, there's the Super Duper Cut, which is the same movie but different (not only are sequences extended or new, but frequently jokes have been swapped out) so there's more of a good thing. The 4k set comes with everything you'd get on the Blu-ray in that the extras are all on the BDs, for those curious.
Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

Did Step Brothers need to be in 4k? I don't know. Is it an improvement over the old release? Yes, and it's nice to have the two-disc BD included with the 4k disc, so it's pretty much a win-win if you don't already have it.

My only real complaint about Celebrating Mickey is that if you're only going to include an hour and a half (ish) of shorts, why not add some kind of retrospective about Mickey Mouse or Walt Disney? I wasn't expecting this to be like the Disney Treasures sets, but a little something would be nice. Otherwise it's a nice cross-section of the development of the most famous mouse around from Steamboat Willie to Get a Horse!

BBC continues to release their older series on Blu-ray; following the first series of Tom Baker's run on Doctor Who, there were high hopes that The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy would impress in the same way (as much as Standard Definition upscaled to HD can, mind you) annnnnd, kinda? The video doesn't look great, and it hasn't been restored to the degree Doctor Who was, but the audio is fantastic. The other selling point is the quite impressive 5 1/2 hours worth of extras (split over discs 2 and 3) of vintage interviews. So things even out and I suppose the entire experience is Mostly Harmless.
