Verified Purchase:Yes
An old computer I have managed to keep running for almost 20 years now is so old I cannot buy an internal BR DVD player for it anymore. This external USB-connected device resolved the issue.

Can't beat the price!

Bought a series of drives to be used as replacement in my home server, with the intent of not only replacing bad drives, but to also increase total memory. I'm particular about using only 7200 rpm drives, and this turned out to be a great buy. Server is back on-line now with over 63 TB of memory.

Expand your home network without compromising quality with this TP-Link Powerline starter kit. The adapter uses your existing power lines to supply your home with a gigabit Ethernet connection, and its automatic power-saving mode conserves energy. This TP-Link Powerline starter kit installs with no configuration for a fast, efficient setup.

Will this device block the other plug-in position on the outlet?

The unit does not have a feed-through receptacle built in, so yes, it will block an outlet. In my case, I simply plugged it into the lower outlet which then allows the upper outlet to be used for other purposes.

does this come with two Ethernet cables? please specify how many it comes with

I actually don't recall for sure, but believe it did. For my particular home layout, I ended up having to buy custom Ethernet cables anyway, to accommodate the different lengths to make my connections.

Most of the powerline adapters, these included, come in pairs. What if I need an odd number? Can you buy a single extra unit a la carte or must you get an additional pair?

I am an end-user so cannot answer all questions about what is available from the market. What I do know is that I believe they are sold in pairs because one is needed as a transmitter, and one us used at the receiver. That being said, I also know that they will work successfully in odd numbers. I presently have 3 in use, one, of course as the transmitter, one as a receiver for my TV, and one as a receiver for a laptop that consistently has issues staying connected to the WIFI. Extending the virtual Ethernet to that laptop indirectly solved its connection issues.
I might suggest that if you have need for one, you might have need for more in the near future, as I did. I was not able to find a single unit for sale, though I must admit I did not do an exhaustive search. I did suspect that I would have a need for expansion in the future so didn't shy away from having a spare laying around. (At some point in the near future, I plan to update the TV in the guest bedroom from dumb to smart, and when that happens, I will put the spare unit to use.)
I would also suggest that when you select a supplier, be sure to confirm that any units you buy meet the IEEE standard for Ethernet-over-power lines. That way you can be sure that all units you buy will work together, even if sourced from different manufacturers.

Print, scan and copy wirelessly from your device with this Epson Expressions Home all-in-one inkjet printer. The 100-sheet paper tray minimizes downtime to improve productivity, while the 2.4-inch LCD screen ensures simple setup and use. This Epson Expressions Home all-in-one inkjet printer features automatic duplex printing to save on paper.Prints up to 10 ISO ppm* in black, up to 5 ISO ppm* in color

Does this printer have fax capabilities? I saw few question asked about this and the answer was yes but then saw another one say no.

There are no options for attaching a phone line so I would have to say "no" to the question.
It can scan, and that scanned document can then be emailed.

Store edited photos, videos, and games on this 3.5-inch Western Digital hard drive. It has dynamic cache for optimizing allocation between reads and writes, and there's plenty of space to store files with its 4TB capacity.

Is it compatible with XPS 8500 DELL DESKTOP ?

It should fit in any desktop and operate well with any operating system. It won't fit in a laptop.
I've used it for both Windows and Linux.

Will this work with Linux Mint OS?

I'm presently using it in a Linux Redhat server, formatted to EXT4 and it works just fine.
So, yes, it will.

i bought it sometime last year, and it just stopped working. My computer wasnt able to read it. ive tried it also at my friends PC, same result. what seems to be the problem?

Hard drives seem to fail randomly. Sometimes they fail with surface defects, but most time its the electronics that fail.
I suggest you double-check online and confirm that unit is still under warranty, then follow instructions to get and RMR so you can return it for a replacement unit.

Simplify your everyday life with the Google Home, a voice-activated speaker powered by the Google Assistant. Use voice commands to enjoy music, get answers from Google and manage everyday tasks. Google Home is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems, and can control compatible smart devices such as Chromecast or Nest."

How do I set google home up

It comes with simple instructions but the setup takes place over your phone. In fact, all accessories I've attached to Google Home have been through the smart phone.
Download the app to your phone. The app will find the assistant, and help you log into your wifi. Once it's online, it can answer your questions.
If you bought any accessories, they too, come with their own app that needs to be downloaded to the phone. Once they are set up, they can be added to the Google app then the assistant will control them. For example, I bought a WEMO smart plug, which I can operate from my phone. I added it to the Google app the plugged my Christmas tree into the plug. Now all I have to do is say "Hey Google. Turn on the Christmas tree." and the assistant responds with "Okay. Turning the Christmas tree on." and the tree lights up.
