Plain and simple - RDR2 is one of the most intricately built open world currently. Does this mean it’s the best, or the most fun? Well, that mostly depends on your preference in games. Though this one seems to be splitting the most hardcore of gamers. For me, this brand of immersive storytelling mixed with absolute freedom to find the most obscure scenarios - R* style. Yes, this game is a bit slow to start, with chapter one being mainly a tutorial, then chapter two opening up the world to the freedoms of exploration. (I found a house of corpses, a death cult of sorts, in my first hour roaming the open world. The activities are plentiful and deep in their systems, which is also drenched in realism behind the motivations. These certain programmed actions and systems are seemingly what is splitting the crowd. Some wishing this was more chaotic and action driven like GTA, but instead is more paced and steeped in absolute atmosphere. Truly putting you in the trials and tribulations of the old west. But that’s not to say the action isn’t abundant, there is still plenty of set pieces full of fun. My only gripe in gameplay is the old RDR mechanics, just slightly tweaked. Learning the laws of the layout was something that took a moment to perfect, but smooth once things get going. While I’ve mentioned this game may not be for everyone, mostly due to pacing and style of mechanics behind the immersion, I would highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a great open world experience. Just expect to play through the paces of exploring the old west - well, a bit more than just the west this time around.

They kidnap the daughter (Isabela Moner) of one of the cartel bosses, but when Gillick refuses Graver's order to execute her, the two comrades find themselves on opposite sides of a very deadly conflict. Jeffrey Donovan, Catherine Keener co-star in this thrilling sequel. 122 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

A good fact to know when going into this “sequel” is that writer Taylor Sheridan originally wrote this film as not a sequel, but a spin-off film of Sicario called Soldado, focusing on Benecio Del Toro’s character and Josh Brolin’s character. But with the success of Sicario it was easy for producer’s to change the title and try to bank in on the Sicario title. That said, this film is one entirely of its own, and shouldn’t be directly compared to the first Sicario film, though it’s still a fine follow up film. Viewed as it’s own piece, this movie really pops off at every opportune moment. The pacing is much quicker, and the atmosphere a lot darker. Tension doesn’t necessarily take the back burner, it’s just handled differently by this director, resulting in something much meaner and violent, rather than brooding and ready explode under its own pressure. In many ways I enjoyed this film a little more, but again it’s hard to compare. Save for 2 major characters, this feels like a different a film - not a sequel, but a proper companion piece, a follow-up set in a different storyline. This feels like a film that should’ve been called Soldado, and marketed as such. Great film for fans of action/thriller flicks, this one definitely leans into darker and more violent terroritories. For fans of Sicario, expect a more expansive story that covers more that just the America/Mexico territories, involving a much more international aspect to the plot, not as claustrophobic and dense in its tension, but still a moody, atmospheric, and expansive, look into the realities of the hands that control the American fate beyond political policies, as well as it expands on 2 of Sicario’s more enigmatic characters.

This was a gift for a family member. But they really wanted it badly, so it’s gotta be a good show, especially with such long run of seasons. Maybe one day we should all sit down and give it a try.

This review isn’t really for the film, especially seeing there’s a million reviews for the experience itself. This review is for the new Zavvi/Best Buy exclusive/limited steelbook. Featuring some awesome, and VERY fitting artwork - something I very much enjoy seeing as a collector. Nothing is better than a beautiful cover to embody the spirit of the movie. It’s a solid, embossed steelbook, so one of the better of Best Buy’s limited releases. Definitely worth the double dip at $12.

There isn’t much to add to previous reviews, good and bad. Simply put, this is Destiny. If you dug the first, you’ll definitely dig this one. Especially with the new expansion and some new fixes. If you’re new to this franchise, expect to be a busy person, and an even more social butterfly. That’s not saying you can’t go it alone, it’s just not as lucrative. You’ll be dungeon dwelling and looting like an RPG, while shooting and perfecting guns like a solid FPS. You get an in-depth customization screen for your character. One word you’ll learn to love/hate here: GRIND! You’ll be grinding away for hours trying to obtain whatever goal gels your vibe, and some that you will wish would go away, but all in the name of being bigger and badder. A LEGEND.
There are a few important things I need to say before you crack into my insanely sweet game. (You might want to sit down for this!). I'm a mercenary with an accelerated healing factor. I've been described as unstable, which is just plain coo-coo. (Wait, do sane people say coo-coo?) Be prepared for just about anything. (Holla!)

Fun arcade style hack/slash game. Nolan North really captures the spirit of the character of Deadpool, as well as the studio did wonderfully in building a bright and brutal comic book styled adventure. The game feels a bit repetitive at times, or monotonous, but not in any way that most hack/slack games fall victim to. Fortunately there’s a lot to fill in where the game falls flat, and that’s in all the craziness that the game presents as an overall. It’s funny, violent, kinetic, and schlocky in all the best ways possible. 100% Deadpool, whether you know the character from the comics, the movies, or both. There’s something here for you, though for some more hardcore gamers: this will be a turn your brain off and bask in the mindless pleasures. Perfect platform for an introduction to the world of Deadpool.

This game is purely awesome. Very reminiscent of Infamous: Second Son - meaning lots of great traversal through a lively open world, stocked full of stuff to do. This particular Spider-Man reminds me of the cartoon from the 90’s, with a dash of modern maturity. He quips and whips witty dialogue just as quickly as his webs. The combat is a more kinetic and less hefty version of the Batman Arkham games, which is nothing to complain about. Easy to pour many hours into, but unlike a lot of open word mammoths in gaming, this game does have an ending that can be completed for gamers of all sorts. 30-40 hours and I earned 100% completion, as well as a platinum (for you trophy fanatics). Story was great, but will leave you wanting more by the time it ends. Really great opener to what I hope will be a sweet continuation into another game. Overall, just a really fun and entertaining game that can be recommended to gamers of all genres and play types. Fans will find a lot more to get excited about, of course, but all players should feel welcome.
