GREAT MOVIE, but the digital copy's not UHD format

I'm a big fan of the series. It's a good fun romp.
I'm just here to complain about the digital copy included with this 2-movie set. If you've bought UHD blu rays, you'll probably be accustomed to getting the UHD digital copy as well, but not here.
Looks like Best Buy has even blocked out the "Digital" part of the banner of the actual product, and doesn't even mention the copy at all.
That's comical.
Unfortunately I didn't buy my copy here, so I didn't catch these efforts and clarifications, and the other one-star reviews.
I also contacted Disney, because how hard or expensive is it to just throw out a UHD code for those that spend the time to contact them? They still don't make it right. They said something along the lines of "the banner of the packaging will say the version", but that's not even true.
This is a big rant, but it's a nuisance. I don't get how/why it's just this title, so far.
If you don't care about the digital copy, then it's a nice set at a decent value.

I bought these because I use Google/Nest home products. They basically just work, as simply as possibly.
There used to be instances where they became unresponsive, but I believe that was an issue with the hub they were connected to. Unplugging the hub for a bit usually reset them. The problem hasn't popped up anytime recently.

Xenoblade Chronicles is probably my favorite series out right now, and this is the best version of where it all started. Although my personal favorite was XC2, I still bought this set for the lovely artbook. Kinda wish it had the steelbook offered abroad though.
Side note: the series can be played in any order, and I always recommend playing whichever game sticks out to you the most. They're very different from each other, but can still get you hooked in the other(s).

Wow, look at how lovely the artwork on this steelbook is! Plus the sleeve has some interplay with the art of the steelbook itself. Definitely one of my best looking cases.
The movie itself is a classic, and I think this is a solid version to own. I'm always a big fan of Atmos sound as an option, even if this movie isn't the best showcase for Atmos itself.

My GOTY 2019, but even more relevant today (Covid)

This was my GOTY in 2019. It's basically the antithesis of the biggest AAA games/series nowadays, but made at the same production level, if not higher.
Death Stranding was touted as being a "Strand game", and the idea there is that the game doesn't emphasize violence (which is still somewhat present), but connecting with others. This is done through the use of equipment that you buy/build to help travel across the world more easily. You're limited in how much you can do by yourself, so you'll naturally find yourself looking to use the stuff left by others. Similarly, as you build things, you'll do so with others in mind.
The sci-fi story of the game mirrors these sentiments, albeit in some melodramatic ways throughout. But it's a pretty great story, and it's eerily applicable to things today, with Covid and all. It's hard to really sell the fun of this game without spoiling various things, but I found it all very engaging throughout.
If you're interested enough in this game to have made it this far, you should really give it a chance. It's not for everyone, but if you're here, then I think it has a good shot with you too.

Great everyday sound upgrade for Vizio M series TV

Solid upgrade to the built in speakers. I got this to improve the sound of a Vizio M series tv with pretty "meh" speakers.
I wanted something that was appropriate for always-on use, and got a good deal on this (which is already a good deal at msrp).
Because the room is open, it's not really acoustically set up for a lot of surround options, or even virtualization. Even a subwoofer would have been a bit clumsy (acoustically) to fill this large space, so I just wanted richer sound from the source, and this "2.1" soundbar fit the bill.
The sound is solid, and I bet it's really great in a small room. Like in a bedroom or office, this would be great, and I bet the bass would be even better. But even in the living room I have this in, the sound is good for the 80% of use it gets. You don't need thundering bass when watching American Ninja Warrior, or the news (especially not when loud ads come on, while volume leveling is off). If you watch a movie you saw in theaters, you might wish you had that rumbling bass, but this just isn't that kind of upgrade. If you're BIG into movie watching and the cinema experience, I'm surprised you're looking at this product, and this review.
It has a sound processing mode called DTS: Virtual X, which does a good job separating sound for an almost Atmos-like effect, but I don't mean it's simulating surround. It's just providing a wider soundstage, and even a bit of "height". You can think of it like "vertical stereo", like the sound is coming from around the screen, not just the immediate left and right, and not just from the bottom.
It has a sound processing mode called DTS: Virtual X, which does a good job separating sound for an almost Atmos-like effect, but I don't mean it's simulating surround. It's just providing a wider soundstage, and even a bit of "height". Last thing I'll say is that this soundbar is largely affordable enough that you can buy it for an immediate upgrade, while waiting for a good deal on a beefier setup.

The steelbook looks lovely, but was damaged in shipping, and didn't show immediately, due to the paper that covers the back. Meaning I couldn't just return and reorder, because I'd technically opened it.
The movie is great though. Definitely worth having on hand, and this one comes with a digital copy too, but unfortunately it's through Funimation, and not somewhere with far better accessibility like Vudu.

Vizio's website claims that M21d-H8R supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Is this correct?
No, just Virtual X. I think the Atmos banner is meant for the M Series line, which includes a beefier soundbar that's coming out later.
Virtual X does a pretty decent job simulating a wider soundstage across all content, but it doesn't simulate a surround effect and it lacks the degree of precision of dedicated Atmos content, IMO.
