Lisa, I love 4k.. I put a $350 55 inch 4k TV in my bedroom and needed a 4k Blue Ray player... I fought with myself over having to put a 200+ unit for a 350 TV... well I got this on sale for 69.99 and it doesn't disappoint. It does have limited network capabilities which is nice... It supports network streaming (not netflix or hulu) but if you have a home server or plex you can stream content from your home server which is a nice bonus. On another note, I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the function that reads to you on the device main menu.. it is kind of annoying but worth it for having not to spend 200 bucks on a machine that would be overkill for what I need to use it for.

Bought this because of my countless numbers of wireless devices that need charging... I have three smart watches, 2 phones, 4 tablets etc.... this thing just works! The only downfall I have found is that it doesn't have the higher power capability for rapid charging, but I will take the trade off for not having to use a big power strip to plug all my devices into

Good Budget Receiver

So I found this one day in the open box section at Best Buy for 45 bucks.. yes 45 bucks... kind of scratched up but it does 4k and I needed something in my bedroom to replace my HTIB setup connected to my 4k TV.
At first, I could see why whoever owned it returned it.. the center channel audio was funky and way too high pitched. I ended up having the bright idea to update the firmware from the Yamaha website and it fixed all my problems. Great little unit.
Other Thoughts - At this price point I would recommend spending a few extra bucks on an Onkyo for a few more features. Aside from that, I got this thing for 45 bucks so I am not really complaining since it is only in my bedroom.

I bought this TV on Nov/22/18 and in less than 3 months, the lines were all over the place. Also, there was an area that looked like cracked from inside. I reached out to the LG customer service, going back and ford, and they first decided to send a technician to take a look into it. I was OK with that, but they wanted to charge me over $100 for only the visit. I refused that and wanted to speak with a supervisor to give me a resolution for this issue. Therefore I eventually spoke with an executive supervisor and they kept telling me that, according to the pictures that I sent, because there is a crack in the panel, the ONE YEAR WARRANTY does not cover that.
WHAT DOES THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY COVER THEN?
I informed them that nothing touch the TV. This is again all from the inside panel; the outside screen is not broken or something. Also, I forgot to mention that when I got the TV, after couple days, I noticed that the outside screen is NOT installed properly. What I mean by that is if I pushed the outside screen from all the sides, left/right/up/down, by my finger, the screen will go inside and will leave a big gab; however, they said this is relevant to the issue. If it is relevant to the issue, it should be gab only on the area that looks like it is cracked, left-bottom side, not all the sides of the TV. I should have returned it when I saw the gap, but I unfortunately didn't, and I think I will be taking the long way to get a resolution for this issue.
Finally, I want to say that the TV has a great picture with great features, and I just wanted to post my experience here, so everyone is aware of this.

Purchased on sale and worth it at a sale price. Especially since HDR 10 and Dolby Vision are now supported. Note that when using devices for Dolby Vision, that they need to be plugged into either input port 2 or 4 with a high speed cable. Took me a while to figure this out.
The box worked flawlessly since purchase, for about 4 months. However, now the lights are really lagging. Like they are stuttering between color changes. It gets progressively worse then all the lights shut off and restart. This happens every 4 to 6 minutes and is now a distraction. This just started within the last 2 weeks. I may bring back to Best Buy to exchange under the protection plan.
Is it an item you need? No. Do you have extra funds and hue lights around your tv area, and would like to enhance your viewing experience? Then purchase it.
Be sure to get the protection plan on this if you purchase. The tech is new with a lot going on, so anything could happen to the box.

the light lag is most likely caused from not using a dedicated hue hub for the light sync seperate from the hub the rest of your home is connected to
