Such a great dark thriller

As an early Brad Pitt film, he is paired wonderfully with Morgan Freeman. Kevin Spacey is perfectly creepy in his role as well.The story, writing, art direction, photography and sound design are all amazing in this film.

One of the all time classic hockey films

The original Hanson brothers are hilarious. "Putting on the tape coach..." Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean are fantastic in this film. Slap Shot is for hockey as what Caddyshack is for golf. Great laughs.

This sleeper story slid under the radar at the theaters. Glad I was able to find it on Blu-ray. If you are into the lore surrounding Howard Hughes it is enjoyable. The effect on the lives surrounding the mythical Hughes actually makes for a more interesting tale than the life of the man himself.

Enjoyable film with some issues

Unfortunately, this film does not hold up when compared with Depp's role in "From H_ll" where he is a also a nineteenth century investigator. As Ickabod Crane in this reaching tale, his range is limited by Tim Burton's heavy handed Direction. Danny Elfman's soundtrack is average as well.
