West Side Story Done Differently!

When I first heard that this was being remade, I thought: What's the point of remaking a classic? But then I saw this and thought: Okay this totally works! I think Speilberg has done a brilliant job and Tony Kushner's script is excellent IMO! But I think this time the casting is PERFECT! Plus the fact that Oscar winner Rita Moreno is back in a newly created role written especially for her is the cherry on top! I really, REALLY enjoyed this film! One of my favorite scenes in the original is the AMERICA sung on the rooftop (even thought it was totally shot in a studio)! This time exterior locations are used giving the entire number a more modern feel. Is it better than the original? Who can say? It's just differen, but I loved it! "Anita's gonna get her kicks Tooo-night...."

Better Than I Thought It Would Be!

I am a big fan of director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End), so I was really excited to see his new film. Although, I wasn't blown over by the trailer when I first saw it a couple of years ago (the film had numerous delays due to COVID lockdowns), I figured I give it a shot anyway. I must say I was plesantly surprised. It reminded me of a Hitchcock film (with a little Dario Argento in the mix). I really wasn't prepared for the ending (I was completely floored)! Slow at times, but stick with it and it might surprise you. The blu-ray/DVD special features are really interesting too. Great soundtrack too that boomers (like myself) will really enjoy!

Amazing Visuals!

I am giving 4-stars only because although I did enjoy this film, I didn't love it. First, I want to start by saying the 4K/Blu-ray quality is excellent! The artwork on the packaging is nice too. Now here's the rest: Storywise, I was disappointed because given all the star power I thought it was going to be Really good. The acting, art direction, costumes were all good though. Granted, this isn't your average MCU film. But with this many new characters being introduced (10 superheros, and 2 non-superheros: Dane and Karun) it should've been longer too establish all the Eternals. Maybe in the sequel they will be more fleshed out. Slow at times, but still its nice to look at with a big bowl of popcorn. The special features (on the Blu-ray) are an added plus because of the deleted scenes. Of the 4 Marvel Cinematic Universe films released in 2021, this was least favorite. But as far as all 27 MCU films released, I still its way better than Thor: The Dark World and The Incredible Hulk, IMHO.

I am really disappointed that I didn't get a chance to see this musical when it was first on Broadway! I think this film adaptation is excellent. Lin-Manuel Miranda (writer) may be this generations Stephen Sondheim, IMHO! He's really captured the flavor of Washington Heights (a neighborhood in upper Manhattan) that's funky and cool. This a fun family musical. The Special features on the Blu-ray includes some great BTS footage! I really enjoyed this film!

I have to say that this version of The Suicde Squad is a lot better than the one thst came out a few years ago. Although both films are not connected, some of the characters from the former film show up here (Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn, Rick Flagg, Boomerang). I thought this film was a lot more fun than the other one too. The R-rating is there for a reason (definately not for the younger viewers). If you like Guardians of the Galaxy (James Gunn also directed this too), then you might enjoy this film. The blu-ray special features are great too! I've already watched this film multiple times since I made this purchase.

This is actually the second SanDisk Dual Drive Go USB Type-C. I got it to use with my tablet. I can move data from the tablet (and android phone) to my laptop with it's USB port. It's a life saver (unless you lose the unit - hence this being my 2nd purchase). The unit is tiny so you have to store it somewhere that you won't forget.I guess you could attach it to a key chain if you're worried anout losing it.

Trying to find the positive things to say about this film adaptation of a really great Broadway musical is difficult. A lot of changes from the original show didn't work for me. Maybe they should've done a HAMILTON and just recorded the stage musical. As much as I love Ben Platt in the original show when I saw it, watching him play a 17 year old teen on film was really stretching it a bit. Perhaps they should've cast someone who was closer in age to the character. Fans of the stage musical may be dissapointed. The special features are interesting.
