I ordered this on Christmas 2019 and since Disney wanted to keep The Child, aka Baby Yoda, as a surprise this wasn't available until May. Then the pandemic so the recipient ended up getting it later. Even so, it was well worth the wait. This is very well made toy of Baby Yoda and much better than similarly price versions. I didn't open it but apparently....he lacks feet?

Strong Start to an Epic Story

While most people who played are fans of the original, I've never played the original FF7. I know about it because of how big it is in gaming culture. From what I know, this expands upon the original game's opening chapter. While some feel that this is only a fraction of the original game, I got plenty out of it. My first playthrough was 40+ hours. There's a lot of detail but into the game.
Gameplay wise is that the game is very smooth. Combat was well paced and fun. Graphics did suffer as the games shows the console's age. There were obvious trade offs to make the characters and cinematic look great as the cost of some environment detail. That's okay to keep the game running smoothly.
If there is any fault is that there isn't much replay value as the game story if very linear and there aren't true decision making choices. It makes sense because this is the start of FF7 and (SPOILER) a tad of reboot at the end.

Having played a number of Star Wars RPGs where you are in a control of a top-tier Force user who cap blast a room apart and bring a starship down, it is incredibly refreshing to play as a partly trained Jedi Padawan who is trying to regain his powers. This allowed the game to focus on a small number of Force mechanics that became part of the game world and puzzles and not just victory buttons for the fights.
This is a solid game but the game world does feel a bit same-ish after a few worlds until the final chapter. While each planet was designed visually different, you end up doing the same thing. It's an excellent start to a Jedi journey and I look forward to future games that expand upon it.
