Receiver good, but...

for a receiver it does the job well, pushes my infinity speakers with nice tone. I am having issues with it and my Samsung TV. I'll tun them on with my Xfinity remote and there is no pic or sound until I switch of the cable HDMI input to the blue ray input and back, then works fine. frustrating as all get out for my wife! (and me when she expresses it)

I just hooked up my new AVR. My zone 2 was not producing very much volume. Is zone 2 capable of lots of volume. My speakers are direct wired for the back yard.

Does this unit allow you to play different music in each zone? For example: can I watch a movie in the main zone and play music via an airplay 2 device (iPhone).
I'm sorry, but no. According to the manual:
"The same input source is applied to both Zone A and Zone B."
You can play either zone, or both, but all speakers will play the same thins.
I believe you can move up a level or so to get the function you desire, but am not sure.

It does not have a specific turntable input - those are different than other inputs like CD players.

My TV has apps like Netflix and other streaming services. For sound to run through my audio system the amp must support Audio Return Channel. It’s generally HDMI 2 on most 4K TVs. Does this receiver support ARC? If not, which one does? Thank you.
yes it does support ARC. Make sure the "HDMI Control" in the setting menu is set to "on" nd then choose "HDMI" - "ARC Enable".
It should be the default setting of ARC on.
