Handy and mostly dependable

These are my first smart bulbs so I don't have anything to compare them to. We're enjoying the convenience (and the novelty). But occasionally Google Home will tell me a bulb is offline. This usually fixes itself after a while. The only explanation for this happening that I can think of is that the bulbs have to be added by, and maybe continued to be managed in the background by the GE app interfacing with GH. Maybe sometimes they don't feel like talking to each other.

Spontaneously loses network connection

First, there are two Lenovo Smart Clocks -- or used to be. I bought the Smart Clock with Google Assistant for my wife, and it's been great. I got this one, the Smart Clock Essential, for myself, and ... not so great. It has fewer options and capabilities than the earlier model. I wouldn't mind that, as I don't use the alarm options much anyway and the old model is no longer available. But this one also loses its connection to my network at least every couple of days. It's not my network's fault -- Google Wi-Fi is great. I'm just getting tired of expecting this clock to be part of my Google Home and being told it's stepped out for a while.

Works well, but durability may be an issue

The Dish remote is pretty well-thought-out and it does everything it's supposed to. It's not as intuitive as the TiVo remote we used to use, but ... that works only with TiVo. My only complaint is that we had to buy another one. The first one lasted a couple of years, then stopped working with the DVR, but only some of the time. You would suspect weak batteries, but that's when I found out that the slider that opens the battery compartment is small and fragile, and wouldn't completely disengage so I could open the back. After prying it open a couple of times to try new batteries, which didn't fix the problem reliably, we ordered the replacement.

Doing exactly what I need at a good price

Like many people, I started working from home in early 2020 because of the virus. I have two monitors at my office, and I use them simultaneously for working from multiple documents or sites. My workspace at home doesn't have the same amount of space as my office desk, so I got a single wider, curved monitor to take the place of two. I'm still getting used to working on a single split screen (and I'm still figuring out strategies for doing it efficiently), but this monitor is just right for that purpose. Performance is very good and eye strain isn't a problem.

We got it free in a promotion when we bought a Google Nest Wi-Fi system -- which is fantastic. If we'd been buying a display we might have upgraded to the larger model with the camera so Dad can video call. We'll save that for next year.

I'm very impressed. I had a not inexpensive Linksys ACS1900 that was only a couple of years old, but it was getting grouchy, dropping connections for no reason. A factory reset didn't fix it, so I started over with the Next system. It's something of a revelation. I need to serve two buildings, including the guest house, which is 15 yards across the back yard from the main house. This system with two add-on points handles it all. Set up was typically Google-easy, and it hasn't lost any devices once since then. Pricey but worth it.

If you have a Jitterbug Smart2, it's likely in the hands of a senior. (And it's an excellent choice for that; highly recommended.) Seniors seem to be more careful with their tech -- maybe because they're a bit afraid of it -- so maybe you don't need this. But if you decide you do, it has an excellent fit, it's easy to install and it may give your senior a little more confidence handling their phone.
