The world didn't know what was coming in 1992! Debut of cinema's utmost provocateur/auteur when it comes to oddities, violence and stylized dialogue -- this movie is raw power thanks to its performances even if it gets a bit ramble at times. The kneecap scene still makes you shudder in surprise and horror, gives a great glimpse at what was to come just 2 short years later. Blu-ray is loaded with features and great PQ/AQ

Classic Ghost Tale

One of the best ghost stories ever committed to film looks phenomenal on Blu-ray even if it is surpassingly light on special features (the sequels got better supplements than this, get on it Warner Bros.) but I am recommending based purely on the strength of the film. Scares, humor and tense atmosphere make this a cut a above the many rest.

Finally a Blu-ray release of the seminal mini-series. Picture quality is excellent and we finally have it all together without being on a flipper disc. Stereo track is solid for a tv release. The film itself is still frightening all the way up until...ok, no spoilers, but if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about. A worthy horror staple and great companion intro to the new duo of films.

Graduated from my 10 year old iPod nano to this newer equipment that surpasses it, even if I was disappointed that Apple discontinued a wide variety of their previous selections. The 32GB holds more than enough space for my larger collection (I'm not a streamer and prefer hard copies) and is very easy to set up, use, has high quality output.
