I own most of the other Mandalorian Pops but I knew that it would be all in vain if I didn't buy The Child Pop. The Child (bka Baby Yoda) is the true hero of The Mandalorian series and the one who will bring balance to The Force after the evil, Darth Kathleen and Count Rian tried to ruin Star Wars.
X-MEN DARK PHOENIX - Blu-ray - After returning from outer space, Jean Grey finds herself at odds with fellow members of the X-Men. The rift occurs because a cosmic blast turns Jean into a godlike being, and her newfound powers are the complete opposite of benign. The diabolical force inside her gradually corrupts her kind soul and understanding. With Jean targeting the friendly mutants she loves most, the X-Men must take a stand. They have to stop Jean from causing further destruction, or Jean will be used by otherworldly entities. These aliens are adamant about gaining control over the entire world. 20th CENTURY FOX Run Time 115 minutes

This film should have been scrapped all together or it should have been turned into a Disney Plus launch day exclusive. Absolute trash way to end Fox's X-Men run. Horrible.

I admit, I initially slept on this Pop. IG-11 was a good character in the first episode but little did I realize how he would come roaring back towards the end of the first season. He went from bounty hunter to Baby Yoda nurse/Terminator. He was the real MVP of the finale. After seeing him come back thanks to Kuiil's ingenuity, I had to get this Pop. Great attention to detail and rust factor but it feels more like Episode 1 IG-11. We need another IG-11 Pop with him holding Baby Yoda to show his transition to nurse in the later episodes of Season 1.

The film is both funny and creepy. It's the kind of film that I expect from Willem Dafoe and the kind of film that I like to see Robert Pattinson star in as he does a Twilight palate cleanse on his way to becoming the next Batman. It's madness, Greek mythology, tragedy all in one. Personally, I got a bit of a Triangle vibe from this film. Maybe that's just me. I enjoyed the film, so I do recommend it. However, it might be a hard sell to some because it's mostly about these two characters, presented in a 1.19:1 aspect ratio and in black and white. That might turn some people away. If not, prepare for a weird ride.

I root for Kevin Smith even though his recent films haven't been particularly great. His early work is far superior to anything he's done after Clerks 2, which came out about 14 years ago. He created a solid foundation in his View Askewniverse but he's had a hard time developing and adapting his characters to more current times. Case in point, Jay & Silent Bob, two characters who tie all of Smith's movies together. I loved the first Jay & Silent Bob film, even when there were cheap, hacky jokes, those two carried the film. But almost 20 years later, a soft reboot of the previous Jay & Silent Bob movie is not what these characters need. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith are not the same people. They're older, more weathered but presumably wiser. While I did like the references to the previous films, again, they're just repeating what happened 20 years ago. I rather see them have a new adventure or better yet, bring in some new main characters to this Universe. This movie wasn't necessary.
Getting along with your in-laws can be tough. For newlywed Grace de Lomas (Samara Weaving), it's positively life-threatening. At a gathering with her husband's (Mark O'Brien) wealthy and offbeat family, Grace takes part in a game of hide-and-seek that turns into a desperate fight for survival when it becomes apparent that she's being hunted to the death by her new-and heavily armed-relatives. Laced with pitch-black humor, this quirky thriller also stars Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

I didn't see this film during it's theatrical run and wasn't that interested after it's home release. But some well timed, word-of-mouth reviews sparked my interest. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It's part comedy, thriller and horror film with an explosive finale that's hard to forget. It's an absurd premise that only gets weirder as the film draws to a close. But if you possess a demented mind and want to have some fun, I definitely recommend this film.

Heavy Infantry Mandalorian is a standout character from the show. Voiced by Jon Favreau himself, this dude went from a potential antagonist to amazing ally very quickly. Armed to the teeth and with a jetpack, he's no punk. Incredible attention to detail on this one, awesome paint job. Glad to have it.

I really dig the pose and the paint job on this particular Pop. However, I think more could have been done to keep the rifle standing up straight. It's slightly bent, not only because of the inner plastic container but also because of Mando's head pressing against it. Not bent enough for me to return but it's noticeable. Other than that, I'm glad that I have finally have a Mando Pop to go along with my other characters from the show.

Denzel Washington's son, John David Washington (Ballers), plays Ron Stallworth, a police officer in 1970's Colorado who decides to infiltrate the KKK. Of course, the problem is that Ron's Black so he partners up with a couple of White officers to meet up with the Klansmen in person. It's based on a true story although I'm curious about the percentage of truth in this film. For instance, I don't believe that the police department in 1970's Colorado would ever stage a sting to take down one of their own racist officers. Having said that, Washington, Adam Driver (Girls, Star Wars), Jasper Pääkkönen (Vikings) and Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming) do great work here. But Topher Grace's (That 70's Show) portrayal of David Duke is the real treat. He did such a great job that he practically went on an apology tour as promotion for the film.

The master of modern cinema, Steven Spielberg, proves yet again that he hasn't lost a step by directing a film about the potential of VR video games that still manages to harken back to 80's pop culture. Kids of today will love it, kids of yesteryear will love it. The CGI is top notch, the references run the gamut from King Kong to Back To The Future to Iron Giant to Gundam. My personal favorite scene was when our heroes enter The Shining level. Both horror and hilarity ensue. A really enjoyable, fun movie.
