DON'T watch the trailers

Okay, not great

This film had potential, but it didn't fully satisfy me, if I'm being honest. And it's actually difficult to put my finger on exactly what it was that fell flat, because it was kind of a combination of things. I felt the cinematography, specifically during the climactic fight scene was visually uninteresting, and the soundtrack was too "pulled back"… I suspect the less than optimal sound mix and the somewhat dull filming/editing style are probably the things that took the punch out of what should have been the most powerful parts of the film. I actually wonder if even one of those things had been better executed if the other might have been less of an issue, but it's hard to say. Overall, just okay.

I saw this movie at a pre-screening before any reviews had come out, so I really had no idea what to expect. I had fairly mild expectations, and as the title of this review suggests, I was quite pleased with what I got. Many people leaving the theater agreed this may be the best Bad Boys movie! I'm still partial to Bad Boys II due to nostalgia, but this one is probably the actual better film.

I defy you to find a better looking picture than what you'll get from this LG OLED line. The interface is fantastic; the colors are vibrant; the blacks are truly black, and everyone who comes to my home is impressed by the TV. The one and only drawback is that you can suffer from burn-in if you're not careful. Use a screensaver, and run the Pixel Refresher when you can to extend the life of your OLED screen.

This movie wasn't terrible, but it had a lot of problems. One of the big ones for me was the fact that it felt rushed. It seemed like they tried to cram too much story into the film to wrap up the Skywalker storyline, and it probably would have been better as two films. There were moments that should have felt more important, but they weren't fully earned.

Beware of burn-in

This is the best looking screen available on the market today, hands down. All of my guests can't help but comment on the gorgeous picture. But, be sure you know how to avoid burn in, and be sure to buy the Geek Squad protection just in case! I had a streaming box fail to go to screen saver one day and ended up having to have the whole LED panel replaced by Geek Squad. (Thankfully, that's covered by the protection they offer.)

Noise Reduction is worth the extra $

They told me how the noise reduction was so effective that they couldn't hear the ever-present plane noise, and that was what sold me.
