A decent entry in the franchise

Another underrated MCU film

So many people express disappointment in this film, but I honestly loved it. People complain that they feel like it was just setting up the Avengers, but [A] I disagree - I think this was a great Iron Man story with some Avengers world-building naturally built in - and [B] I don't think setting up the Avengers is a bad thing, if that's what you feel this film is accomplishing.

A fun early entry into the MCU

As a "fish out of water" story, this movie worked for me. In hindsight, the establishing of Asgard was also important, but it wasn't the most fun part of the film, in my opinion.

There is a reason this is the highest grossing movie of all time - it's so satisfying as a payoff to fans of the MCU. I loved this film, and got "all the feels" in the climactic moments. Pick up the 4K steelbook version, for sure.

I'll admit, this is my least favorite of the MCU films, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The worst MCU movie is still a better than average film! I also appreciate this one more in retrospect than I did when it first came out. I recommend this 4K steelbook to any MCU fan.

My family and I really enjoyed this movie. It was cute, funny, and touching. My only wish is that they had not opted to use some (albeit mild) foul language in the film - one use of the H word and one use of the D word. The steelbook is beautiful, and the special features are pretty interesting as well.

I really enjoyed this film, but I feel the studio never fully decided who they wanted this film to appeal to. A lot of the humor is juvenile and seems appropriate for a younger audience, but there is also some serious gore and adult language sprinkled throughout the movie. I personally would have enjoyed it more if it had a more consistent tone. All in all, it was enjoyable and entertaining for me… plus, I always love a nice 4K steelbook!
