I always buy these bulbs at the holidays when they go on sale. I love the Hue bulbs. 3rd Generation bulbs the green is green and not that sickly yellow color. Look for writing to be a gold color for 3rd gen bulbs and have fun!

Got these on sale over the holidays. Generation 3 of the Hue bulbs. This generation finally got the color green correct! This 3 pack was worth it. Although I didn't need the hub, that switch is pretty cool. Programming the bulbs with my existing hub took a moment but once they were up and running, it was fantastic!

It was on sale. Only buy this if it's on sale. You may need a 2 to 3 ft (or longer) usb extender to reach your plug. You have to cycle thru the brightness and color settings to get to the one you want, no directional switch. You sometimes have to press the round switch several times to get the lights to change, the brightness to change or to turn it on or off. No WiFi connection so your only on/off option is the switch.

Great if you like tinny sound

Bought this for the Apt-X hoping for wonderful sound. Totally fell flat. Even with the bass boost and my phone's own Boombox feature the sound was tinny. My 8 yr old Jambox without Apt-X sounds better than this. Watch the Youtube videos of this line of Bluetooth speakers. When they get to the PK7, you'll actually hear the wallop of the base and fuller sound. This speaker should at least have a "smack" but nada. Back it goes! PS-pairing was a snap.
