...for a special limited edition controller like this it would have been really awesome to see more unique features beyond the clear shell and monochrome buttons. For example, higher quality components, better plastics, better joysticks, etc. I feel like the Xbox controllers are overall higher quality. The regular ones. I love the PS4 controllers but feel like the built quality could be better.

Yep, you just have to get your My Nintendo Rewards gold coins by highlighting the game with the card inserted and hitting the + button. Choose registration option in that menu. Nintendo will email the code to you (already got mine).
