Great Computer

I've owned HP desktops and laptops for decades and this model is without a doubt a great computer that has worked very well for me. I have only one issue and that is one of the USB-C female sockets is rather loose in terms of gripping the inserted USB-C male plug.
In all honestly, I think it was merely a flaw in that socket and even that socket still works. All the other plugs are spot-on great! I'm sure this was a one-off situation with my particular machine and if you get this yours should be fine. The computer runs flawlessly. Doesn't overheat or have any other issues. This is a great buy.

Works . . . but there's a better Option!

Here's my honest opinion. This product (and many others like it) will "help" somewhat in extending your Wi-Fi range. However, would I have found is you are WAY better off opting for the higher end base Wi-Fi box that most companies now offer.
I didn't think it mattered at first, but I found that PLACEMENT of your base Wi-Fi box makes an enormous difference in how wide your wireless footprint will be in your home. Don't place it in a corner or near large windows or large mirrors. Don't put it near the floor, near TV sets or other electronic equipment. Place it at average height and as close to the center of your room as you can get it (not always easy).
It may take some creative rearrangement, but the end result will be much better than getting ANY of these extender boxes. I've tried many of these extenders (including this one) and nothing came close to simply placing my base Wi-Fi box correctly, which for me is Xfinity's latest brand new "XB-8" Wi-Fi gateway box.

I've purchased a lot of high tech audio/video equipment for decades and I've splurged in the past on really expensive esoteric cable. That stuff is no doubt great but you pay a ridiculous price mostly for the high end name and "maybe" a hint more shielding.
This cable is an outstanding value that doesn't skimp on the quality of your sound. If you're not getting interference on your cable, it will be nearly impossible for most people to hear the difference. My advice is to give cable like this a chance first, before your leave your wallet on the sales table :)

A Kewl Product that Sadly is Now Gone :(

I always wanted one of these and when I saw they will no longer be available . . . I grabbed one of the last ones, just like I grabbed two more iPod Classics once those were announced as ending. It's basically a shirt-pocket iPhone without the phone part, but you can use Skype and other 3rd party applications to make calls :)

A remarkably good little WiFi adapter that allowed me to wirelessly have rock solid WiFi extended from my XFinity WiFi modem out to a computer in my combination garage/office area. The computer out there only had Ethernet wire connectivity but it was too long a run for the cord.
I previously bought a usb/antenna that I got from Amazon, but that turned out to be a piece of junk that kept dropping the connection. It does come with a mini-CD that has the driver. This little plug & play guy turned out to be a gold mine!

The moon may be MORE than what we thought!

I saw this on TV and just had to have a copy for myself. It's a fascinating look at a very possible origin of our own moon that mankind has gazed upon for centuries. It poses a simple theory that the moon may not have always been our close neighbor and may very well have an alien origin of being brought here by another alien civilization.
Viewing the film presents a rather interesting collection of thoughts as to why this may have happened. Multiple ancient civilizations here on earth believe it was brought here. NASA is also pondering new puzzling information about the moon. There may or may not be something to all this . . . but keeping an open mind is always a prudent way to go for anything :)

I've owned a lot of computers over the last few decades and most were from HP. I've had this one up and running for a couple of weeks now and it is rock solid in every way so far. I already had an 8th gen. HP laptop that I got this spring, so I've already been spoiled with the capabilities of the 8th gen. machines.
This machine is whisper quiet. In fact, if it weren't for the pilot light I wouldn't know it was on and I sit right next to it. Having 16 gigs of high end RAM is a joy. I'm not a competitive gamer but I do like to run multiple programs and having the extra horse power is a joy. The speed and efficiency of the 256 digital SSD drive for my operating system and critical files can't be beat. Having the much larger regular 2TB drive gives me all the room I need for large collections of pictures, music and other document files.
The new subtle brushed aluminum look that HP is now using is especially appreciated. I'm older now and no longer need the fancy flashing neon lights of some of these desktops. I simply wanted a rock solid dependable computer and this checks off all the boxes. It wasn't loaded with too many junk programs and that was appreciated as well. HP is listening to users. My only minor gripe was the wonky keyboard that came with it. It worked but something about its keyboard layout just didn't match my typing style. Fortunately, I've got much nicer keyboards and mice. The optical drive sits upright, and as a result I'm actually laying the machine flat so it looks like an audio component. The side vent holes are now on top, which really helps in heat dissipation since heat rises. The fans are super quiet and efficient and no heat issues are detected at all. This is a great buy that I think many will like.

Is there an excellent 32 inch monitor to good with this super PC? Does it have to be HP?
Hi Tony! I posted the very first review for this great computer. The monitor I chose was the LG - 27UK600-W 27" IPS LED 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor . . . and I love it. Best Buy had a great price on it at the time. No, you don't need an HP monitor at all, although they are very good as well. The only tricky thing initially was finding the on/off switch for the monitor LOL! It's located near the top of the pedestal arm on the back of the monitor. I know you're set on a 32" monitor and there are great choices for those as well. I too was initially thinking I wanted a 32" monitor, but chose this 27". I think you'll choose what is best for you.
