As usual, did my research with “Consumer Report” who gave this unit a very nice review. One of the best they said. I should have listened to SEVERAL Best Buy purchasers of this unit, who said it was “ineffective.”
After owning and running constantly (in a small bedroom) for three weeks, I am extremely disappointed with this air filter. This was Honeywell’s largest unit. I almost “overbought” but I wanted to clear out dust and pollen. It did NEITHER ! I had relatively high expectations of a “HEPA-style” filter. What I bought has not cleared any dust issues. I re-dusted and cleaned ALL bedroom surfaces (fresh start, right?). Dust re-appeared within 48 hours. Air did not feel fresh. Probably was NOT fresh.
“BUYER REMORSE” Big Time.
Again, I live by “Give people and items the benefit of the doubt.” This product fails. If it cannot filter relatively easy dust, it will never be able to clear out pollen and allergens.

If you enjoyed/appreciated the original as a kid or as an adult, I think you will appreciate this “Return of” MP. It is NOT a re-do, but a continuance, years later. Nobody truly can replace Dick VanDyck or Julie Andrews, BUT this modern continuance surpasses with modern camera work...made EVEN BETTER with 4K/hdr.
If you can get past new actors and not having quite the very classic songs we all remember from our youth, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Really enjoyed ‘1917’ in my home theater as much as on the big screen. It was a 2.5 hour movie and I could stop at my leisure from home !
This 4K version brought out every detail, though it was not a “popping colorful” movie- muted war scenes. The cinematography was truly fantastic though, including night scenes.
“Constant filming” was a first for me...the camera NEVER left the characters for a second.
A lot of great war movies out there. Not many WWI films.
Highly recommended.

Great movie from a historical AND cinematic point

Saw this movie on the “big screen” at the theater and enjoyed it. Nevertheless, the 4K version at home really looked great with the improved contrast, deep blacks and nice surround sound !
This is actually a gray/cloudy movie with certain scenes such as the air battles being bathed in glorious color. I viewed both the 2K (1080p) version and the 4K version in back-to-back evenings. Both were excellent cinematically and sound-wise, but of course 4K trumps 2K.
What an inspiring piece of history ! So glad this 2017 version was made to depict it.
Highly recommended for those that have a historical interest.

I really appreciate this outstanding deluxe coffee maker, the Bonvita Conniseur 8-cup. It looks cool sitting on my counter, is relatively compact, and does exactly as it says-makes great coffee. The brushed stainless carafe is amazing in the manner that it is cool to the touch on both bottom and sides and yet, it keeps the (non-hot plate machine) coffee very-same, hot temp for hours !

I would ALMOST give this UHD (4K) Blu-ray player a 5-star. It plays VERY smoothly, has a good menu system with options for optimum settings. I have yet to explore all the options.
I really like the Dolby Vision option with the constantly updating metadata refreshing (versus static metadata).
Panasonic did what virtually every eother DVD deck (not OPPO) does at similar price and lower- NO back-lit remote ! C’mon Panny ! I mean, for about a $450, player, you could squeeze in a $8. light!

I think that the artistic graphics and color on either the enclosed Blu-Ray OR UHD 4K Blu-ray are State of the Art jaw dropping. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 45 minutes, but for me, the plot slogged on W A Y too long and was needlessly complex. Initially cute...but found myself looking at my watch!

I have an LG C9 65 inch and purchased the Sony A95k. I loved the picture but it’s not hands down a huge leap as people made it out to be. Still I was willing to keep it until the sunlight from my sliding door hit the tv and the greys raised up and the tv looked totally washed out. I can control the lighting by letting down the electric shades but I never had to do that with the C9. I want to have my shades up in the day time and watch tv which I can do with the C9. It’s a beautiful picture but not quite amazing yet until they firgure out how to manage those raised greys. I returned it.

This is a GREAT television with an outstanding picture (once you get the settings corrected) and I'm very happy we purchased this unit. As usual, there are a few things to be aware of. First and foremost, is there a good value for the price? That is the reason this is a 4 star rather than a 5 star review. The unit is great... but it is very expensive and, if I had to do it again, I'd give more thought to the equivalent Samsung unit which has the same panel. That unit seemed to have more problems initially but it is over $1000 less expensive. Second, you MUST play with the settings to get a really good, color accurate picture. I'm guessing this is probably true of everything but still it should be closer. Finally, at the cost of this unit there should be 4, HDMI 2.1 inputs rather than 2. Yes, I'm not likely to use these in the near future but still for the difference in cost, they really should be there. I'm glad I made this purchase but the cost still rankles.

The 4K presentation is very good. It’s not quite a reference disc like Dune or the Revenant, but that’s due more to the source material. There just aren’t many bright colors to take full advantage of the UHD format. Fortunately the black levels look fantastic, which is good because there are a lot of them. I’m very happy that I switched over to an OLED TV to take full advantage of a film like this. The resolution is great, with only the slightest hint of grain in a few shots. The resolution is so good that I even noticed the limits of the CGI in one scene that I hadn’t noticed before.
The audio is fantastic. Vocals come through clearly with a very immersive sound experience. There are definitely other films out there with more active surround effects, but they often seem contrived. This audio experience feels very natural. One of my favorite effects is Cage running around a dune circling the mimic. It’s spectacular.
This is one of my top five favorite sci-fi movies of all time and I’m happier than ever to have it on 4K. If you already have the Blu-Ray and a good 4K upscaling player, you may not notice that much of an improvement, but it is there. I’ve noticed a few split-second flaws here or there in many 4K releases, but I didn’t pick up on a single one in Edge of Tomorrow. If you love the movie, you owe it to yourself to get the best version out there and this is absolutely it.

I was in the market for a gaming TV to be used with a PS5 it would replace a 2018 Samsung NU8000 LED. 1st purchase was an LG C3. Total let down. When in LG’s Game Optimizer mode graphics are dim with poor highlights. I was immediately disapointed. Returned the next day. 2nd purchase was a Sony A80L. I liked it a little better than the LG and it did make the PS5 look good. Highlights were better than the LG, but again it was too dim in game mode and Madden 24 was really dim. Movies looked great on A80L though. 3rd purchase was Samsung S90C. The local store I bought the first two TVs did not carry the Samsung, had to travel a to another store. This thing is a gaming beast. No issues with brightness. Very responsive. Graphics look great. Highly recommend for gaming!

I wanted to compliment you on your fine purchase, your great review of this panel. But a good recommendation to you is this: your pictures (nice & sharp) show too “cool”…..bluish. Consider taking it off your setting and go to Warm or Warm 2. At first it will feel @too yellow” but you will adjust and your eyes will agree that this is more natural.

There is on-going concern in the AV community regarding SAMSUNG still utilizing the OLD (2022) S95B panels in these S90C (early produced ones). This has been verified. So how can we as consumers ASSURE ourselves that we will, in fact get the NEWER panel?

Mixed information on this…does this Cinema 40 have a “TOROIDAL” power core, or something different ? I was told that the Toroidal power core was superior to other types and was only in the very best AVR. I think Toroidal is in previous flagship 8015.

I walked into a Best Buy and there was a 1080p blu ray version of Iron Man 2 on a A90J and a Samsung QN90A. There was much pixelation and fuzziness on the A90J and the QN90A looked so crisp. Is Sony not that good at upscaling lower resolution content?
As you might have read or heard, SONY is considered by most people in the industry as well as AV hobbyists as having THEE BEST ”upscaling” in the business. What you saw does NOT match up with professional comparisons, at all.
Obviously, you need to account for S T O R E issues (bad hdmi cable, etc.)
There is a multitude of explanations for what you apparently experienced. But THAT is just inconsistent with the norm.

I think this is a GREAT question. I have never tried. I hate to guess (I am a coffee drinker and DO appreciate fresh ground coffee beans).
I would certainly guess “yes” but would be concerned about just exactly HOW fine it would get...but this is one very, very capable blender. It really is. I can imagine some “experimentation” of amount of time and speed would come into play.

Yes, absolutely. I will answer this a bit differently from some others. I, like you, still love my Panasonic plasma (GT 50). But I actually get a slight boost from my current OPPO 203 (just purchased the Panasonic 820 for another Panny plasma). Your question was the same as mine before my purchase. I wanted to “sort of” test out the new 4K players, and still continue another year with our gorgeous plasma...there is not too much difference as of course the 1080p is, well, still 1080p, BUT...when I hit “info button” there is DOUBLE TO TRIPLE the bit rate coming off that 4K disc from the 4K player, and it serves up about 60-80 mkbps (sp?), as compared to 2K Blu-ray of about 20-25. It DOES maximize your plasma out !
So the long & short is YES. My Panasonic tv (GT50) accepts a 4K HDMI cable that OPPO supplied. For the Penny 820, I think you will need to purchase a new HDMI cable to send the beefed-up signal to the TV. I recommend only the “Premium Certified” HDMI. A GREAT source is ”MONOCABLE.” They are an on-line business that have impeccable quality at a fraction of cost- great combo !
