This is the best available presentation of a film that is criminally overlooked in John Carpenter's oeuvre and the long list of Stephen King film adaptations. It's the story of a young man and his relationship with a demonic car that serves as a perfect allegory for an abusive relationship. In terms of special features, nothing has been added to this release that wasn't in the blu ray release but the upgrade to audio and video are appreciated and the price is right.

Based on a Phillip K. Dick story (We Can Remember It for You Wholesale), directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Total Recall is a tremendous 90s action sci fi that delivers in terms of action, pop psychology, special effects and style. The film has never looked better and it has plenty of extra features. You can buy the standard release if you wish to save a couple bucks but if you can swing it the artwork and packaging for this steelbook is impeccable. Must buy.
New to 4K. This collection features the wonder of the entire Star Wars saga, capturing the moments from a young Anakin Skywalker's descent into the dark side to the rise of the Resistance and their struggle to restore peace in the galaxy. The story that electrified a generation comes to a striking conclusion.

You bought the original Trilogy on VHS or Betamax, then upgraded to laserdiscs in the 90s. You bought the DVDs of the original trilogy and even bought the terrible prequels... Unable to help yourself, you bought the DVDs again when they released the original theatrical cuts. Of course you bought the blu rays too and now we have this massive Best Buy Exclusive 4k boxset. Is it worth buying these movies AGAIN? Even though six out of nine of them are kind of lame? Well, yeah, it is worth buying them again, they look stunning and come in a wonderful package that displays nicely with the rest of your Star Wars swag. This release offers each film on 4k and blu ray and then there is an additional blu ray with special features for each film. This set also comes with digital codes so you can visit a galaxy far far away no matter how far you are from your precious boxset. Keep in mind, there are special features from previous releases that have not made it to this collection (hence the 4 star rating) so don't part ways with your older releases just yet. Also, cheapskates may notice that it's cheaper to buy each 4k release separately (especially if you pretend the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy don't exist which I am wont to do) but you miss out on all of the bonus content and sweet packaging.

Three billboards has an incredible cast giving incredible performances in this drama laced with dark comedy about a mother who seeks justice for her daughter. It's a take that manages to seem straight forward but as the events unfold its character appear more gray that they are initially painted. The performances really drive the film, making it a memorable modern classic.

The Shape of Water is a monster movie about a mute woman who falls in love with an aquatic monster who is imprisoned by the government for experimentation. Its stunning production design and color pallet is reminiscent of the video game Bioshock mixed with the films of Jean Pierre Junet. It's a modern fairytale, beautifully acted, lovingly shot and worth owning.

This disc is identical to the the initial Baby Driver release but now it comes in an exclusive steelbook with great artwork. Baby Driver is a great heist film and probably Kevin Spacey's last major role.

The fantasy films of Jim Henson were a distinctly unique part of 80s cinema geared toward young audiences and this release of Dark Crystal is beautiful. The 4k restoration is awesome, and the nostalgia smooths over some of the more dated elements. Essential for all 80s kids.

One of the best action sci-fi films of the decade gets an alternate release with a really interesting black and white cut of the film. The black and white version remains just as compelling as the original film which employed a heavy teal and yellow color pallet to inject life into the wastelands of its post apocalyptic setting. I highly recommend this blu ray release of the film if you are a fan of this excellent film.

This low budget horror classic isn't the most obvious choice for a 4k upgrade but its budget price and the improvements of HDR make it worthwhile. This is not the definitive release though since it's still missing some special features from previous dvd releases.
Steven Spielberg's WWII epic has been hailed as a senses-shattering, realistic depiction of war, telling the emotional story of a no-nonsense U.S. Army captain (Tom Hanks), who, after facing the horrors of Omaha Beach on D-Day, receives orders to lead his troops on a search somewhere in Normandy for Private James Ryan, a lost paratrooper whose three brothers had been killed in combat. Also stars Edward Burns, Tom Sizemore, Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, and Matt Damon as Ryan. 169 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Saving Private Ryan is the perfect film to showcase your 4k setup, the HDR colors are brilliant, the sound is incredible and that infamous opening D day scene has not been so visceral and hard to watch since it was projected onto cinema screens in 1998. Buy this film now.
