This card worked as expected out of the box, and continues to so do. What more can one really say about a memory card? My camera is probably a little too old to take advantage of the capabilities of this card. Transfers from the card to my computer were fast enough, though I had hoped for more of an improvement in speed as compared to my older cards.

I bought this for a road trip because my car does not have a good place to set my phone, and I was hoping to have my phone display driving directions. The phone never fell out, and I did get the directions, but due to the length of the articulating arm, the phone does tend to bounce a bit if the road surface is not pristine. This may be a common complaint for all such devices - I am not sure, as this is the only one that I have - so you might want to at least consider a different style of mount if you regularly drive on rough roads.

This AC adapter appeared okay, but did not function correctly out of the box. In addition to not powering up the device for which it was purchased, it made a rather annoying, high-pitched sound whenever it was plugged in. Back to the store it went. Thankfully, Best Buy was quite efficient in processing its return.

Optical media are nice

No “coasters” yet, and compatible with each drive in which I have attempted to write to them — one Apple, one Asus, and one hp. They are a little bit more money than no-name discs, but my experience with Verbatim media overall has been positive. And according to scans of 10+ year old Verbatim DVDs using Nero DiscSpeed, the Verbatim media hold up better than other brands that I have tried over time. Just look for the ones that say “AZO” on the package; they are purportedly higher-quality blanks than even the Verbatim ones that do not have that marking.

A big speed boost

This SSD replaced a traditional spinning platter hard drive in my laptop. The performance boost was not subtle; even with the maximum RAM installed that the system will support, it was still paging out to virtual RAM in some cases, the speed of which this SSD greatly improved. The system boots faster, and applications load faster, too. Although time will tell, Samsung EVO drives are supposed to be some of the longer-lasting SSDs.

Faster picture-taking

I purchased this card to replace an older card that, as it turns out, was slowing down my picture-taking. My camera does not allow taking more pictures while it is writing from its buffer to the SD card. This is at least twice as fast as the old card, but if your camera has a more sophisticated method of utilizing its buffer, you might not notice as much of an improvement as I experienced. Either way, I've had great luck with SanDisk in the past, and this card (so far) has not disappointed.
