Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes - Captain Marvel - when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Captain Marvel as a character is a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air. Of course as an origin story, there's going to be a bit more explaining and going through backstory. To be expected. But it is a good way to spend a couple of hours and by the end of it, I am definitely looking forward to more Carol Danvers. The movie is great. Don't miss it.

Wonderful film that pokes at both sides of the America political system while showing some of the real problems with the election system in our country. I could not have better explained the hypocrisy of BOTH major US parties if I had tried. John Stewart nailed it. It perfectly shows, in my opinion, how the Republicans and Democrats are out of touch with the people they serve but also don't actually care about helping them. And be sure to watch through the credits for a further reality check. To have your eyes at least partially opened - don't miss it.

When the U.S. and Russia unwittingly test atomic bombs at the same time, it alters the nutation (axis of rotation) of the Earth causing it to sort-of straighten up from its current 23.5 degrees which it turn causes it to begin heating up along with many other disasters. "The Day the Earth Caught Fire" is a good old-fashioned, black & white 1960's Science Fiction/disaster-movie classic that effectively merges two giant contemporary fears at once, namely the Cold War and the rapidly evolving nuclear science of the time. The acting performances are splendid, with Leo McKern, Edward Judd and the adorable Janet Munro. It is a vastly underrated Sci-Fi gem, probably because it wasn't a Hammer production, and genre fans should urgently re-discover it. Highly recommended!

In 1943, director William Wyler crafted 'Memphis Belle,' a tribute to the titular WWII bomber. Using footage from the National Archives shot by Wyler and his team, director Erik Nelson has created a new film, featuring narration from some of the last surviving B-17 pilots. Totally mesmerizing. Don’t miss it.

As a regiment assembles to wage war deep in enemy territory, two British soldiers are assigned to race against time and deliver a message that will stop 1,600 men from walking straight into a deadly trap. To get to the regiment they will need to cross through enemy territory. It is stunning to watch from start to finish. The amount of work that went into this film – filmed as one shot – is incredible. The story never stalls, and has a fair balance between war and humanity, and has some of the most incredible camera work I've seen in a while. Don’t miss it.

I loved this movie! It kept me laughing through the whole movie. Be sure to watch thru the closing credits too. I loved that Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston both played characters outside their norm. All of the actors in this film were perfect for this movie and the acting was superb! This is a movie that should be watched for the entertainment factor and when you just need a great laugh. Plus, who can't relate to having a horrible boss and dream of getting rid of them. Don’t miss it.
