Guilty pleasure

Will Smith & Martin Lawrence have great chemistry. Granted they're both loud but very funny. Being a Michael Bay movie, you know it's going to quite over the top, but it's a guilty pleasure movie.
I'm upgrading my movie library, so wanted to get rid of the DVD & move on to Blu-ray. Well the 4k Steel Case double movie set was only a few $$ more than the standard Blu-ray only version, so easy decision.
The picture & sound of both movies is so much improved over the DVD versions. I don't think there's a big difference between the Blu-ray & 4k UHD versions, but you can see the enhancements if you look for them. The sound is loud, but clear, so you don't miss out on the dialog. Good upgrade.

Picked up this drive when it was on sale. I have 2x 8TB Easystore drives that were purchased from Best Buy a few years back. I had no problems with those drives, so getting the 10TB version was a no-brainer. It is so quiet when reading & writing that you barely know it's on. Since this drive will be used sparingly for backups, it should last a long time. Highly recommended.

Better cut than theatrical version

I believe the added bits improved the original theatrical story, giving more detail & insight into Zod & his unmerry bunch of hooligans along with seeing more of Clark & his father.
I had the DVD version but wanted to upgrade to Blu-ray for the improved picture & sound quality. I wasn't disappointed.

Best version yet

I've seen this movie so many times that I can't remember how many. From crappy cable when I was in grade school, thru TV & then DVD. This was my first time seeing it in HD & 4k UHD. The souls is much improved over previous versions. And while the 4k presentation (in my opinion) is not leaps & bounds better than the standard Blu-ray version, it still has a little extra oomph. However, the 4k does expose some flaws in the sets & such.
But if you pay less attention to that minor stuff & just enjoy the songs & dancing, you'll be just fine.

Since the 4k version was basically the same price as some of the standard Blu-ray versions, it was a no-brainer to pick up the UHD version for my library upgrade.

Good upgrade from DVD

I owned this set on DVD. While it did look good at the time, it was time to upgrade to the Blu-ray version.
While the special visual effects don't quite hold up as well as modern green screened features, it is one of those movies that you have to enjoy for what it is.
I think great work was done to bring all of the extra footage together & have it mesh so well with the the theatrical version. Of course there was not much the could do with the Special Edition, sound-wise, since it was primarily a TV release with low quality playback in those late 70's.
I enjoyed the first 2 movies, especially the Richard Donner cut of Superman II. The rest of the series were stinkers.

Disney captured magic in this 1st installment of C.S. Lewis' Narnia series.
I loved watching the old animated version on TV when I was a kid. Then hearing a Disney live action version was to be made sounded great, but I was a little apprehensive.
Fears were laid to rest after watching it a few times. Great character work and stayed pretty faithful to the book. Awesome seeing the White Witch & Aslan on the big screen.
Bought the Blu-ray to upgrade from an excellent DVD box set, but of course, that DVD can't hold a candle to this HD version. Glad I upgraded.

Best Star Trek parody

Even though it's not related to that franchise, you know clear well who they were targeting when they made this movie.
Funny riff on sci-fi & serial storylines. They got the perfect cast of actors & they played their parts beautifully. I would love to see another installment, but it would truly miss so much without Alan Rickman.
I had an old DVD copy, so as part of my library upgrade, picked up this Blu-ray for cheap. Very good picture & great sound quality. Highly recommended watching, like Saturday morning cartoons.

Hot Rod!

I thought The Hot Rod did a great job in this movie. The fight sequence between he & Keith David is really a crack up. This is one of those guilty pleasure movies that you don't want to tell people that you love it.
Scream/Shout Factory releases are awesome. They have done a great job with releasing quality Blu-rays of classic horror movies, and this one is no exception. I had a crappy DVD version for a long time so upgrading to HD was great. Granted the limited budget & production values, the Blu-ray quality is good.
John Carpenter is 1 of my favorite directors, so this is just one of many of his movies that I've recently purchased.

Creepy good time

This used to scare me as a kid. That opening sequence with John Houseman is just about as forbidding as one could get at that time. Of course horror movies are so much different now (over the top gore), but like the original Halloween, scary without a lot of slashing & gore.
