I bought this cable for my grandmother because she was needing to charge her iPad across her room. She loves to play card games on the tablet and she will drain the battery quickly as she plays continuously. So, I got this cable for her so she could keep it connected to a charger while she was playing if she needed to. It's been a great, heavy-duty cable for her and I've not noticed that the charging ability of the cable has been hindered by the length of it.

Perfect for home theaters

I have a home theater set-up in my living room, which is on the opposite side of the house from my router/modem. I have mesh WiFi throughout my home, but when it comes to streaming video and gaming, I want to hard wire in those systems with an Ethernet cable. So, I purchased this small switch to manage those devices. It's been the perfect addition to the home theater set-up. It has worked flawlessly and because it's so small, I was able to attach it to the back of my entertainment stand using command adhesive strips. I get a very strong signal from my main modem and it's not failed at all since I installed this almost a year ago.

Nice for universal remote

When I upgraded my home theater system to include not only a TV and BluRay player, but also a stereo receiver and gaming system, I knew I needed more than just my TV remote to control it all. Given that I also had smart devices in my home, I decided to try using the Harmony Elite Remote. I had used a previous version of the remote and thought this would be a good upgrade. It did work, but I found it to be a bit too complicated when it came to set-up. I wanted to be able to program it from the remote and you have to use a computer-based app to do that. Once it was programmed, the remote worked as it should about 95% of the time. Sometimes it would turn on 2 of the 3 devices a program was supposed to control. I also had some issues with it being responsive. I would recommend this to others, but understand that it can be quirky if you are using it for complex programming.

I have owned two of these and have found both to fall apart very quickly. The snap that latches it closed breaks within a few times of opening and closing the lid. Maybe I got some from a bad batch but I would be shocked if that was the case.

While I will typically jump on the Apple product bandwagon no matter what the item is, I was a little leery of getting the HomePod when it originally was released. The price was high and it just didn't make sense to me that I needed something like this since I had other Bluetooth speakers. I started having problems with my Apple HomeKit items so I ended up getting this HomePod for the purpose of using it as a hub. It has worked perfectly well for this purpose and it's been great when we've had people over at our house, too. I can't recommend the HomePod enough. The speaker is top notch and the HomePod has not failed once in controlling our HomeKit products.

Easy way to connect subwoofer

I love having surround sound, but hate the cables that come along with it. So, when I installed my 5.1 system, I got a wireless adapter system for my back speakers. I recently remodeled my living room and had to reconfigure where my subwoofer was living so I added this transmitter kit to my system as well. It's easy to set up, but I did have one issue with it. Every once in a while, there will be a loud popping noise that occurs. This seems to happen at random and only when I am watching certain channels. I quick reset of the system usually remedies the problem, but it's a bit annoying that I have to do anything to it at all. Other than that, this is a great option for a wireless connection to your subwoofer.
