The steelbook looks great, but by the time I'm writing this, I also have the Endgame steelbook, and I'm concerned because both of these releases seemed to have been over-printed. I have collected a great many steelbooks, most of which sell out before noon on release day. Both of the aforementioned movies are still available at my local Best Buy store.
That aside, I do feel this movie went out of its way to remind everyone that the titular hero is female. We can all see that, and most folks don't really care--no new ground was truly broken [see: DC/Warner's Wonder Woman], it was just an opportunity for the marketing team at Disney to make a big deal about a new character that few people know or care about. I get it. But to prop up this character by boasting that she's more powerful than any of the heroes we already know and love? That's gratuitous pandering.

I primarily got this for the steelbook, because I'm a collector nerd. But this is a very great package with great art, and I'm very tempted to round out the trilogy and future-proof my collection with more 4K versions of MCU classics.

DO NOT read my below review if you haven't seen this movie. You have been warned!
The steelbook art kind of spoils the movie, but other than that--everything here is great. Thankfully, I saw this film in theaters, so the spoiler art doesn't matter to me.
That aside, as an avid fan of the MCU, I'd say this is yet another top tier Marvel flick that delivers on all levels, with one of my favorite scenes yet (Captain America in the end battle--brilliant!)
Meet Jerry Dandrige. He's sweet, sexy, and he likes to sleep in late. You might think he's the perfect neighbor. But before inviting Jerry in for a nightcap, there's just one thing you should know. Jerry prefers his drinks warm, red and straight from the jugular! It's Fright Night, a horrific howl starring Chris Sarandon as the seductive vampire and William Ragsdale as the frantic teenager struggling to keep Jerry's deadly fangs out of h

I like this movie. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed it so much in its theatrical run in 1985, but looking back from a perspective on what modern horror has become, there's something nostalgic and utterly creepy about the practical effects, the film grain, the soundtracks, and the goofy acting in 80s horror. That is no exception in the original Fright Night of 1985. It's entertaining, and I will revisit it frequently (probably around Halloween), which is the highest among my echelons of compliments. It's worth noting for blu-ray purists out there that this is considered a "made on demand" title, but it is also a pressed disc (NOT BDR). I'm surprised this didn't make it to store shelves, but I'm happy it got a release at all.

The recent era of DC movies, in their attempt to create an "expanded universe," has polarized their fandom. Just look at the response to Justice League--universally panned (sadly, pun intended) by fans and critics alike. There are, however, just a couple glimmers of hope for Warner/DC: one being the success of Wonder Woman, and the other being Shazam! [It's worth noting that as of the writing of this review, Joker has not hit theaters--but it looks like it could be a game changer]. Shazam! is a fun romp. If you approach it as a goofy superhero movie without high expectations, I think you'll be surprised. It has heart. It has funny moments. I believe the villain is a little too "cartoonish" with the scarring aroung his funky eye, but I'll even give him a pass because his story was decent enough. Overall, if you liked Tom Hanks in "Big," I think you'll enjoy Shazam! as well.

For its time, The Avengers was Marvel Studios' first true event film, bringing together the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow and introducing Hawkeye (albeit under Loki's mind control through most of this movie). I can't really say anything bad about the movie itself--but I did make this purchase for the 4K steelbook, which arrived with a sizable dent on the back plate, right at the edge of the top corner. I looked up videos on YouTube to see if it could be repaired, but the methods all require prying out the plastic disc tray inside the steel 'shell,' and I fear it could do more damage instead of solving the problem. This could all be prevented if Best Buy would give these collectible items the proper care in packaging to cushion these items in transit. By the time I got around to buying this item, it was no longer available in-store, so there was no alternative to the risk involved in purchasing online.
