The main cabinet and Turbine Head are increased in size to support the larger drive units. The Turbine Head is a carefully designed and tuned aluminium enclosure that houses the midrange driver. This inert structure avoids unwanted resonances and is decoupled from both the bass enclosure and the tweeter body. Cabinet stiffness has been increased with an Aluminium Plate that reinforces the top of the cabinet. Midrange performance has been dramatically improved with a new Biomemetic Suspension that replaces a conventional fabric spider with a groundbreaking innovation that reduces distortion behind the drive unit. The Solid Body Tweeter enclosure has been elongated, increasing air volume behind the diamond tweeter which improves the openness in high frequencies.
