This is the 3rd installment of the John Wick franchise, somewhat solving the problem that faced him at the end of the 2nd movie. The body count is almost uncountable, as he endeavors to stay alive after a worldwide hit on him is released to every assassin on the earth. There are several twists and turns that leaves the ending open to yet another sequel.

Another Disney live action remake of an animated classic. Good casting and adaptation of the story. Will Smith does a great job of taking on the roll of the genie, although he is no Robin Williams. A must see for Disney fans!

Pets have a Secret Life 2

This sequel continues the story of Max and his friends some time after the first film. Max's owner gets married and a new adventure starts when she takes a road trip into the country to visit her husband's relative where Max gets involved with a rooster who trains him to be a sheep dog. The adventure also continues for Max's friends back in the city. He entrusted his favorite toy to Gidget, who loses it in a cat infested apartment, which causes a quest to retrieve it before Max returns. Chloe and Snowball also have an adventure, which involves the rescuing of a white tiger cub. All in all it is a series of fun filled drama, which the theater audiences enjoyed more than the critics, so see it and compare it to the first one yourself.

Last Train - Western Justice Through Courage
on September 20, 2019
Posted by: Deanabear
Verified Purchase:Yes
This 1959 western stars Kirk Douglas, and Anthony Quinn, who were friends in the past, but are now on opposite sides of justice as violence among members of their families put them on different sides of justice and the law. Good horse opera with shadows of 3:10 To Yuma in the plot, as the 9:00 train from the town of Gun Hill must be boarded by the marshal and his prisoner to allow justice to prevail. Great drama as the Lawman and Power Baron battle for what is best in the West!

The U.S. Story of the Flag Raising on Iwo Jima
on September 20, 2019
Posted by: Deanabear
Verified Purchase:Yes
This is the story behind the photo of the 6 men who raised the American flag over Mount Surabachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in WW2. As a powerful inspiration to war sick Americans, the photo becomes a symbol of the Allied cause. The 3 surviving flag raisers, are sent home to help raise funds for the war effort.
During WW2 the American war chest was getting empty as the buying of War Bonds by the American people slowed down. So a campaign was launched using the photo of the Flag Raising at Iwo Jima. Now the three surviving men in the picture, Doc Bradley, When the 3 men arrived they learn that the story the government released to the press is full of inaccuracies, causing them to be at odds with their own personal realizations that thousands of real heroes lie dead on Iwo Jima, and that their own contributions to the fight are only symbolic and not deserving of the singling out they are experiencing. Through flashbacks we see the lead up to the flag raising, especially the bloody fighting on Iwo Jima. "Flags" is the companion piece to "Letters From Iwo Jima", both directed by Clint Eastwood. "Flags" did not fair as well with the critics nor in the box office as "Letters", which was filmed from the Japanese point of view.

Serenity 2005 - Firefly Revisited
on September 20, 2019
Posted by: Deanabear
Verified Purchase:Yes
The plot picks up a short while after the TV Series, "Firefly", left off. The pre-title teaser provides backstory for those unfamiliar with the TV series. The events in the teaser occur prior to the first episode of the TV series. After the teaser, we find the 25th century spaceship "Firefly" class freighter "Serenity" captained by former Independent soldier Malcolm about to enter the planet Lilac's atmosphere on one of the crews' not always legal jobs; this time a bank heist. When the renegade crew of Serenity agrees to hide a fugitive on their ship, they find themselves in a battle between the relentless military might of a totalitarian regime who will destroy anything to get the fugitive girl back. But, the greatest danger of all may be on their ship. This space opera is written and directed by Joss Whedon (Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, The Avengers, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and is thus filled with what the Sci-Fi buff wants in a movie in this genre.

Sam's P.G. and Billy the Kid
on September 17, 2019

Knowing the background to this tale is important in understanding who is the hero and who is the villain. Set in New Mexico during the 1881 Lincoln county ranch wars, the question is presented as to who owes who what and whose side is the "law" really on. It is the story of both men's final days and Sam Peckinpah's final western, and not his best. This 2 disc special edition DVD includes a new cut of the film dubbed 2005 Special Edition that combined the theatrical cut, the preview version and a couple of new scenes that had never been shown before. The DVD also included the 1988 Turner Preview Version.

Avengers: Endgame. Is it?
on September 16, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
The second half of the Infinity Wars saga and the culmination of the entire MCU series of films is far from over, but the future will be different because of what has happened in the Endgame. There were questions left unanswered and surprises left to be revealed in upcoming films. Those who do not like change will cringe a bit and ask why did that have to happen, but all in all, if you had read the comic books you would already have known what was to come. Over all it was a satisfying compilation of action adventures and there is more to come.

Johnny Goes Marching Out
on July 19, 2019
Posted by: Deanabear
Verified Purchase:Yes
Johnny Tremain is a pre-Revolutionary War tale, filmed by Disney, and released in 1957. It is based on the 1944 metal winning children's novel about a teen age apprentice silver smith, who injures himself so bad that he will have to abandon his future carrier. So, he joins the Sons of Liberty who recruit him as a messenger. More tragedy is avoided when Johnny is falsely accused of a crime, but is fortunately exonerated. Afterwards he works more patriotically with the Sons of Liberty, as the adventure takes the story to the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere's ride, and to the battles of Lexington and Concord at the beginning of the Revolutionary War. All's well that ends well, though, and that is what the end of this movie accomplishes. This film was originally made for the Walt Disney hour on television, but it was released in the theaters first and later on TV. It's actually on most best Revolutionary War films lists.

Arthur Penn's moving biopic of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan, The Miracle Worker, comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer. This is a solid release from MGM/UA that will satisfy the film's fans, but considering the wealth of information about Keller, some historical extras would have improved this package.

It is a Miracle

Totally blind and deaf from age two, Helen Keller meets a blind dedicated teacher of the blind, Anne Sullivan, who refuses to see this totally non-communicative child live any longer in the dark in this 1962 biographical film set in 1887 America. At age 20, Anne took on the 7 year old Helen, and with great struggles slowly removes little Helen's fears and anxiety from being lost in a world without two of her senses, by teaching her how to communicate. Oscars were given to both Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft for their performances. A must see true story!

Man From Laramie
By Deanabear
This 1955 James Stewart western was one of the first to be filmed in Cinemascope. The plot has our hero Will Lockhart (Stewart) delivering supplies from Laramie to Coronado, a small remote town in Apache territory. However, his problem isn't with the Indians, but with the son of the autocratic owner of a large ranch outside of town. Will's cavalry brother had been killed in battle, and so he is quietly searching for someone who is selling repeating rifles to the Apaches. During his search a witness is found dead and Will is accused of it as well as stealing by the rancher's son. Things come to a head between the two in a fight for justice. Good Oater!!

The Desperadoes
April 5, 2020
The second film on this DVD is a 1943 Technicolor western stars Randolph Scott who is as a sheriff of a small town and is trying to find out who robbed the bank not knowing that it was an inside job. Cheyenne (Glenn Ford) rides into town having arrived too late to help rob the bank. He's in love with the saloon owner and gets a job breaking broncos at a ranch. The sheriff knows Cheyenne as a friend, but another bank robbery done as a set up to frame Cheyenne and his sidekick to hang. Steve busts him out and is put into jail himself, but is freed by Cheyenne. The two of them than set out to settle the score. An early Glenn Ford western with the role of an anti-hero. An oldie but a goodie.

The essentials to get it all done. Office Home & Student is for students and families who want classic Office apps including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows 10. A one-time purchase installed on one Windows 10 PC or Mac for use at home or school.

Hi, I recently purchased the latest iPad (7th generation) and need to use word. I noticed that with the word available on the App Store I have to pay a monthly fee. If I made this one time purchase would it work on my iPad? Thanks

I have the Office Home & Student version, which says it is good for 1 PC or 1 Mac and the system requirements, besides Windows 10 for PCs, also says or macOS. If your iPad has the macOS on it, then yes! Ask the store tech guy for a second opinion or go to the Microsoft web site to confirm before you buy.
