However, in route Fievel gets washed overboard and is separated from his family, but makes it to New York in a floating bottle where he sets out on a quest to find his family. Finding friends, such as Henri (a pigeon who oversees the construction of the Statue of Liberty) and various mice friends and foes who help as well as hinder him. After many perils, especially when the reality hits that there are cats in the U.S., although not all of them are bad, he finds out. Cutting to the chase, he finally achieves his goal.

Jeff Daniels stars as George Washington in the historical drama The Crossing, which comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are neither subtitles nor closed captions on this release. Supplemental materials include a behind-the-scenes featurette, historical quotes, and biographies and filmographies of the cast. This is a solid release from A&E.

It's a Bird, it's a Plane; No it's Dumbo!

This is a beautiful redemption story all around! Dumbo saves the circus and the circus saves Dumbo, although there is some dark secrets to reveal first. If you loved the 1941 Disney animated feature, you'll love this live action CGI Disney/Tim Burton feature, as well! A great cast makes it come alive! Keep a box of tissues handy!

Taken Gives Back A Lot

Great action plot of a kidnapped girl while on vacation in Paris being sold into the sex slave market. What the villains didn't count on was that her father is an Ex-CIA agent with extreme talents for such a crisis. The suspense is big and the body count is bigger. Liam Neeson's character is like another Jason Bourne. This original film spawned sequels and a made for TV series.

Long before Rat Race, director Stanley Kramer put together a cast of notable comic talents and sent them on a madcap chase around the country looking for lost loot. Now, MGM has seen fit to release It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World in a solid DVD package that's sure to satisfy fans of the film. The picture is presented in a 16 x 9 widescreen transfer. As this is an older film, the print has a bit of wear and tear, though nothing to get upset over. It's certainly better than most VHS editions. Sound is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and is a worthy treatment, though nothing earth-shaking. Extras include a lengthy documentary on the making of the film, a truckload of extended scenes, and a pair of trailers. With such a fine cast, many of whom are still living, a commentary track would have been welcome. However, even without it, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is offered in a fine DVD edition and is certainly worth owning.

History of the World - Not!
on May 31, 2019
Posted by: Deanabear
from Southern California
Verified Purchase:Yes
This Mel Brooks send off of the history of the world (part 1) is an irreverent parody of the historical film genre anthology. The four main segments have vignettes of the Stone Age, the Roman Empire, the Spanish Inquisition, and the French Revolution. These segments are all done in typical Mel Brooks ridiculousness with tongue embedded deeply into his cheek. Although there is a teaser at the end about a Part 2, the sequel was never intended to be made, but what was hinted at came out in some of his other forth-coming movies, such as Space Balls.

Back in 1987, during Arnold Schwarzenegger's heyday as a movie actor, we find him in this science fiction/horror film, action adventure as the leader of a special ops rescue team in Central America sent to find and save an official held hostage by a guerilla unit in the jungle. What they find is that they are not on the mission they thought they were, and besides that something seems to be hunting them as each member of the Team is being picked off by an unseen predator. As his team is being decimated by this highly intelligent and technologically superior alien being, Dutch (Arnold) finds a way to level the playing field confronting the creature, who is hunting them for sport and now sees Dutch as a worthy opponent, face to face. This film was listed on a number of "Best Movies" lists and spawned a franchise that is still popular today.

Man From Laramie
By Deanabear
This 1955 James Stewart western was one of the first to be filmed in Cinemascope. The plot has our hero Will Lockhart (Stewart) delivering supplies from Laramie to Coronado, a small remote town in Apache territory. However, his problem isn't with the Indians, but with the son of the autocratic owner of a large ranch outside of town. Will's cavalry brother had been killed in battle, and so he is quietly searching for someone who is selling repeating rifles to the Apaches. During his search a witness is found dead and Will is accused of it as well as stealing by the rancher's son. Things come to a head between the two in a fight for justice. Good Oater!!

The Desperadoes
April 5, 2020
The second film on this DVD is a 1943 Technicolor western stars Randolph Scott who is as a sheriff of a small town and is trying to find out who robbed the bank not knowing that it was an inside job. Cheyenne (Glenn Ford) rides into town having arrived too late to help rob the bank. He's in love with the saloon owner and gets a job breaking broncos at a ranch. The sheriff knows Cheyenne as a friend, but another bank robbery done as a set up to frame Cheyenne and his sidekick to hang. Steve busts him out and is put into jail himself, but is freed by Cheyenne. The two of them than set out to settle the score. An early Glenn Ford western with the role of an anti-hero. An oldie but a goodie.

The essentials to get it all done. Office Home & Student is for students and families who want classic Office apps including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows 10. A one-time purchase installed on one Windows 10 PC or Mac for use at home or school.

Hi, I recently purchased the latest iPad (7th generation) and need to use word. I noticed that with the word available on the App Store I have to pay a monthly fee. If I made this one time purchase would it work on my iPad? Thanks

I have the Office Home & Student version, which says it is good for 1 PC or 1 Mac and the system requirements, besides Windows 10 for PCs, also says or macOS. If your iPad has the macOS on it, then yes! Ask the store tech guy for a second opinion or go to the Microsoft web site to confirm before you buy.
