Without giving away all the details of the film, Joaquin Phoenix delivers what may be his best performance to date as a dark, twisted take on the larger than life psychopath, the Joker. While anticipation ran high with the return of Linda Hamilton who certainly holds her own in this film, the overall experience is once again more of the same, except this time it's clearly a female led endeavor more than ever. All the leads are solid and do a great job but the story itself once again suffers from more of the same. If you're a fan of the franchise then you'll probably be entertained but don't expect more or anything all that fresh here.
