Apple talks how many tens of millions of songs the service has. I have put it through the ringer! I’ve even had to find some Dutch swing and dance band music from the 1930s. There’s not much of it, but it is there! It also has all of my swing and big band artists that I so enjoyed listening to. Sadly, I am undergoing some medical procedures right now. Ryan must sit in chairs for long periods of time. I hide under a set of headphones to drown out the inevitable television sets in the room, and read a book while I’m waiting for the procedures to be done. The Apple Music service is a real godsend in this case.

Very weak volume

Sounds good but it has no volume to speak of. I have two of these and both are weak. A $40 Alexa Dot outperforms it. My advice to anybody thinking of going into the Apple echo system for home control, use an Apple TV for your base. As far as apple control is concerned use your iPad or use your phone. If you’re expecting any kind of volume out of this thing I would wait until the next model comes out and hope that it’s louder. In my case, it’s too late to return them or I would do so. Don’t get me wrong: they have a very good look to them and are very very well manufactured as is typical with most Apple products. It’s just that this one is not ready for prime time. Especially not at $100 a pop apple, you can do better than this for the money.

I Bo it got one thst refused to set up. The first ok utcof box failure of an Apple product for me ever. I took it back and got another one. This one shipped right up, and it’s working fine. Are used primarily for commands for my smart lighting and other things in the house. The song quality is good the construction quality appears to be a first class. If you were in the Apple ecosystem, I recommend this device highly.

I've had two sets of these, and they work fine for a few months. Then, for reasons I can't quite figure out, they cease having much volume at all. I do not recommend these. Sure, they are cheap, but I've had cheap speaker sets from other vendors that last a very long time.

Slow to respond

Setup "argued" with me, but when it finally responded, setup was easy.
My two stars come from the slow and inconsistent response times. Anywhere from one second - which is great - to as long as five or six, which is not. My border router (Apple TV 4K gen 2) is about 15 feet away, and this was the first device. So, it is not a traffic issue; it is just slow. I am taking the two I bought back to Best Buy and will find another brand.

I will say this: I have some of their zigbee bulbs, on the outside of my house. They work very well. Fortunately they do not require a Sengled account to function.

A disappointing product. I have had Panasonic phone sets in the past that have been first-class products, and that is why I bought this one. I am sorry I did so. The sound in both the base and wireless handsets is tinny; it resembles what phones sounded like when I was growing up back in the 1950s.
I’d have returned it but I had damanged th packaging, so, I will accept the loss.

This was horribly disappointing. I’ve bought NETGEAR products for years, but this was pathetic. I could not install working software on my iMac which is supposed to be supported. I tried installing on my HP Windows 10 laptop and it failed there also. Software ran once but wouldn’t start a second time after booting PC. I’m sure the device is fine, but the software is pathetic! TERRIBLE! Do NOT buy this!

I love the idea of a smart thermostat... this is the first one i've ever tried, but i figured what the heck, I just bought a brand new unit from Trane, let's go all out.
My unit, from Trane, is a Heat Pump, so a word of caution about this review... you may not have these issues if you have a traditional furnace...I just don't know, but I can tell you for sure, with the old thermostat, the one that came w/ the Heat Pump, I never had a single problem.
Now? Nothing but problems.
I have been on the phone 4 different times with Ecobee. Each and every time, all they do is tell me I need to have a licensed electrician come out and resolve my issue.
My issue isn't wiring! The old thermostat works flawlessly. I even re-installed the old one and ran it for a day just to verify.
The issue lies somewhere in the settings... of which, Ecobee gives next-to-zero support or direction. I've been at the mercy of YouTube and Google searches, almost all of which apply to either EcoBee Pro or EcoBee 3 - neither of which have the same settings options as this unit.
I tried to return the thermostat to Best Buy - and they want a restocking fee, which I refuse to pay, so it looks like I'm either stuck with it - or need to sell it second hand.
One thing is for sure - I will never trust the "EcoBee" brand name again.

What is the problem
October 9, 2020
I see a lot of narrarative about A problem, but no actual description. I have this very thermostat with a Trane heat pump, and the only thing I had to be sure of was the setting for the reversing valve. If the stat calls for heat when the temperature goes up, change the reversing valve setup.
As for ecobee’s tech support, they were very helpful on an issue I had; one that turned out to be with Apple, not with ecobee.
