Poor Battery Life, Poor Screen

I bought this for occasional use, and didn’t expect fire-breathing performance. I don’t need it.
For the record, I didn’t buy this at BestBuy; I got it from the office supply place with the big red sign.
Pros: Setup was easy, there is virtually no junkware to get rid of. Warranty registration is a snap, and Lenovo is not emailing me with this or that offer. This has been my past experience with Lenovo; they are not pests.
Cons: Battery life is dismal. i am lucky to get 90 minutes, and that is doing simple things like basic spreadsheets, browsing, and some word processing. The screen is dull and contrast is poor even for a budget class computer. While I am not doing photo or video editing, decent contrast wold be welcome. It just isn’t there, and I have seen ten year old mid-range computers with screens that blow this one away. Last: there is a flimsy feel to this computer.

Excellent Streaming, Setup Could Be Better

I finally lost my temper with my Apple TV 4K because of its form over function remote. So, I bought the Fire TV Cube. Real, clicking buttons beat a touch-pad every time.
Streaming performance is first class. I have a 150 mbps service, and a good wireless router, so there is no stuttering or freezing. Image quality is very high; to my eye, it is a bit crisper than the box it replaced.
It rates four stars instead of five because setup could be made easier. How? By allowing the pairing of a keyboard BEFORE account configuration. Typing is easier than scrolling for characters and hitting a button.

I give this four stars because it suits my purpose. Those expecting fire-breathing performance and audio levels that can fill an auditorium may want something with a bit more "grunt".
Mine is being used for audio on a computer where I do a bit of simple movie-making, audio work, etc. I am far from a pro or avid hobbyist. So, this little receiver is more than enough for my needs.
Setup was easy; markings on the back are clear. I give it four stars instead of five because Sony, like every other manufacturer, uses this grey-on-black color scheme making the front panel virtually impossible to read. (see picture)

This was horribly disappointing. I’ve bought NETGEAR products for years, but this was pathetic. I could not install working software on my iMac which is supposed to be supported. I tried installing on my HP Windows 10 laptop and it failed there also. Software ran once but wouldn’t start a second time after booting PC. I’m sure the device is fine, but the software is pathetic! TERRIBLE! Do NOT buy this!

I love the idea of a smart thermostat... this is the first one i've ever tried, but i figured what the heck, I just bought a brand new unit from Trane, let's go all out.
My unit, from Trane, is a Heat Pump, so a word of caution about this review... you may not have these issues if you have a traditional furnace...I just don't know, but I can tell you for sure, with the old thermostat, the one that came w/ the Heat Pump, I never had a single problem.
Now? Nothing but problems.
I have been on the phone 4 different times with Ecobee. Each and every time, all they do is tell me I need to have a licensed electrician come out and resolve my issue.
My issue isn't wiring! The old thermostat works flawlessly. I even re-installed the old one and ran it for a day just to verify.
The issue lies somewhere in the settings... of which, Ecobee gives next-to-zero support or direction. I've been at the mercy of YouTube and Google searches, almost all of which apply to either EcoBee Pro or EcoBee 3 - neither of which have the same settings options as this unit.
I tried to return the thermostat to Best Buy - and they want a restocking fee, which I refuse to pay, so it looks like I'm either stuck with it - or need to sell it second hand.
One thing is for sure - I will never trust the "EcoBee" brand name again.

What is the problem
October 9, 2020
I see a lot of narrarative about A problem, but no actual description. I have this very thermostat with a Trane heat pump, and the only thing I had to be sure of was the setting for the reversing valve. If the stat calls for heat when the temperature goes up, change the reversing valve setup.
As for ecobee’s tech support, they were very helpful on an issue I had; one that turned out to be with Apple, not with ecobee.
