Good kid-room CD player

We got this to replace a dying unit for the kids’ room. They love to play CD-based audio books and songs at bedtime. First one wouldn’t power on and needed to be exchanged, but second one works great. Only negative is that it shuts power down a few minutes after being paused so the kids can’t keep their spot with the audio books.

Replaced our 17 year old top loading Kenmore set with this and a matching washer. We were hesitant of some other brands since family members had them and electronics would periodically go out. Did our research and went with GE. Much quieter than we were experiencing before, but more importantly our clothes are coming out fluffy dry with less wrinkles. With four kids we send quiet a few loads through per week and this set makes it (almost) a joy to do laundry!

I purchased these for noise cancelling abilities to isolate my work from my family while working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Extra bass is something that I usually enjoy in a headphone and the sound was good, but using these for the entire day was fatiguing on the ears. I was also not impressed with the noise cancelling. I bought a pair of WH-1000XM3 to overcome the deficiencies I saw in the WH-XB900N. Turns out the WH-1000XM3 is the headphone for me. The WH-XB900N would be great for shorter listens, but all-day use is just too much.

I started by purchasing a different pair of Sony WH-XB900N for noise cancelling abilities to isolate my work from my family while working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Extra bass is something that I usually enjoy in a headphone and the sound was good, but using these for the entire day was fatiguing on the ears. I was also not impressed with the noise cancelling. I bought these WH-1000XM3 to overcome the deficiencies I saw in the XB900N. I’m happy to say that these are everything I was originally wanting and then some. I have this on a non-Bluetooth tv and it indeed makes it Bluetooth capable. I have mine hooked up through the optical port, so I just mute the tv and use Bluetooth headphones. You can’t adjust the volume from the tv remote, but this would be able to transmit the audio signal out to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
