This thing has been awesome with the exception of one day, less than a month after purchase and a battery cover issue.
On that one day, the network settings got messed up for a still unknown reason. We just turned it on, and it wouldn't connect no matter what we did. We had to factory reset it, and reinstall all of our streaming services. Outside of that one inconvenient day, this thing has worked great, and I would still buy another if there was space in my house for another 70 inch TV.
I waited quite a while to write a review, as I wanted to make sure the issue I had early on was not going to be the norm. The kids keep this thing going pretty constantly, and the only regular issue would have to be that the remote battery cover tends to fall off often. It is a bit too easy to open, and always has been. I don't want to modify it to fix the issue, as I have an extended protection plan on the TV. Nor can a really get it replaced, as that is just the way it is designed. I would just get another one with the exact same issue.
The only streaming service we use that it did not have the ability to use was Crunchyroll, but we barely used that service to begin with.

Despite following the care instructions, little flecks of the non-stick coating began washing off during the first wash. It was hand washed in warm soapy(Palmolive) water, using a soft sponge. On the bright side, it appears no more of the non-stick coating has washed off since then, but I really should have gotten a protection plan. I don't really know how much more use I'm going to get out of it, as just about everything sticks to the spots where it washed off.
Cleaning is not as easy as they imply. When you clean it, the small handle that you lift the bottom out with can get stuff under it, which can be time consuming to get out. It is also difficult to get completely dry, which is probably why mine is already rusting there less than a month after purchase. Additionally, I can see where the under-turned edge around most of the bottom is likely to get oil or grease under it if you cook anything that would drip. This seems especially likely near the removeable rubber grips on the bottom tray. Another possible issue I see is that the fill line is above the screws holding the basket together, and these screws are not coated with a non-stick layer. This is likely to eventually cause issues as buildup forms on them, as you can not scrub them clean without damaging the finish on the surrounding area.
Be very wary of the cooking directions given in the manual, as you are likely to burn food by following them. Try to find foods that have their own air fryer cooking instructions, as those seem spot on.
I'm probably not going to get another air fryer after this, as I am not sure my experience would be any better. It generally does the same thing as my convection oven, just on a smaller scale.

A no brainer if you have kids

Best Buy charges nearly the same as Gamestop for a protection plan. The big difference is that Best Buy is selling an accident protection plan, while nearly everyone else is selling an extended warranty. An accident protection plan covers mishaps, where an extended warranty covers issues with workmanship that you somehow didn't notice during the manufacturer warranty period. I have kids, so I know which of those two is most likely to be an issue. Even if something did go unnoticed, it would be easy for an extended warranty to blame it on the scuff marks I sure these portable systems are going to receive in my kids hands. After all, even though my kids have miraculously not dropped theirs yet, I see adults drop and break cell phones all the time. If you're buying electronics for kids to use, this is your best bet.

While I'm not fond of the difficulty of obtaining a PS5, the system is pretty awesome. For what I mainly use it for, I could have gotten away with a PS4 Pro, but it definitely is an upgrade above that. The load times are way faster than my old PS4 due mostly to the hard drive read speed. The sample game that comes pre-installed, Astro's Playroom, focuses on showcasing the controller, which is the shining gem in this system for me so far. If you're just playing PS4 games, most of its features are not going to mean much to you aside from the ability to chat through the controller itself if you don't own a headset. The controller features for the PS5 games would take a whole paragraph to do them justice. The console itself is huge. It's somewhere around 5"x16", and you're going to need to leave it some breathing room as well. It's not likely to fit in the spot your old PS4 fit in. Also, the controllers charge either through USB C ports at the top(which is different than the PS4's micro USB ports), or through the bottom via a charger. I recommend buying a charger, as that top port is used for controller software updates, which is now a thing.
The PS5 specs are slightly lower than the new XBox equivalent, and I have not yet tried the new XBox. That being said, the backwards compatibility of the two systems means barring a desire to play the games of the other system, you're probably better off sticking with the brand you already own, because you're likely to fall back on you're old favorites a lot. The new Spiderman: Miles Morales is pretty good, but there's just not that much variety out there yet.

The DualSense controller feels a bit weird at first, and the only game I've played that took full advantage of it so far was the new playroom that comes pre-installed on the PS5. Now that I'm used to the slightly different shape, I prefer it to the old DualShock 4 hands down. It holds a charge longer, the charge cord fits more securely, and the performance in the playroom blew me away. If you're just playing PS4 games on your PS5, it's probably going to feel alien to you for a day or two, but it didn't take long at all before I started looking at the DualShock 4 as clunky. I just hope that the future PS5 titles do a better job at fully utilizing the DualSense than Spider-Man: Miles Morales did.
PS: the one thing that nags at me is that I've already had to install two controller software updates per controller. This is irritating because you have to connect the controller to the control deck for the software installation, and how much should your controllers need to update in less than a week of use?

My youngest son was a Paw Patrol fanatic, and insisted he needed this game... two days later, the game was put away, never to be played again. He maybe got two hours of entertainment out of it before he downloaded Fortnite for free, and discarded the Paw Patrol game. This game targets young players, like as soon as they have a basic understanding of how to read, and can manipulate a controller young. A nine year old is just going to tear through it, and discard it. If this was the 1990's, I'd call this one a renter.

A decent chapter in the series so far

Unfortunately, I have had very little play time for this game so far. My teenager keeps the card in his Switch most of the time, and plays it as often as he is allowed. I could do without the weapon durability, especially early on when you have a small inventory, and it seems like they are constantly breaking. The puzzles have been the highlight for me. While some are mind numbingly easy, some have really taxed my brain (and cause my kid to seek guidance from the internet.) The length of time the game is likely to take to clear it, which is something I like, may be it's downfall in my kids eyes. I'm honestly surprised he's stuck it out this long.

The Switch is a solid system, which may even be good enough to redeem Nintindo after the Wii U. My kids play on them for as long as I allow them to. Sadly, the availiable streaming services for Switch are limited to YouTube, Funimation, and Hulu. The graphics feel on par with the PS4 or Xbox One, but the portability and versatility put it ahead according to the kids. The game selection has quite a few less options when it comes to the bloody, gory, and zombie filled horrors they prefer, but I feel a bit better about the more kid friendly games they can play on these.

Does this tv have a input button on the actual tv? My tv is acting funny. I’m not sure if it just gave out on me or if it’s my fire stick. I’m crossing my fingers that it’s just the fire stick.
Assuming you asked the question on the right model, yes... sort of. There is a power button on the underside below the LG emblem at the center of the bottom border. If you press it in and quickly release it while the TV is on, you will get a menu (it may show instructions to do it again, if so, do it again immediately.) Press and release the button until input is highlighted, then press and hold the button until it shows the inputs available. It will only show inputs that currently have something being fed to it, so if the device you are trying to use is turned off, you are not likely to see it. Press and release until yours is highlighted, then press and hold to switch to it. Input should be the first one after the power symbol.

Can anyone tell me connection speed getting on hardwired PS or Xbox? I purchased a mesh system and it lowered my hardwired equipment. Getting gigablast but want to be sure this supports higher download speeds on hardwired equipment too!
I have three PS4 systems connected to this device. One is hard wired, one is on the 5Ghz channel, and one is on the 2.4Ghz channel. I'm using Spectrum as my provider on their 100mb speed plan. I realistically usually only see just over 96mb download and 5mb upload total, but that's due to my provider, not the modem. This router does split it fairly evenly when we speed test all three systems simultaneously with the wired and 5Ghz each getting just over 30mb download and the 2.4Ghz around 29Ghz. Any one system can get high 90's if the others are not using much at the moment. This thing has been great for playing Dying Light over the LAN, and we play Fortnite through the wireless all the time. We game a lot, and as long as you keep the same system types off of the same wireless frequency as each other, this modem has yet to disappoint me. Granted, I haven't had it long, so the honeymoon period isn't over yet.

Sorry Bob. This device isn't designed for phone service. While I don't know every service out there, I know for a fact that it cannot be used with Spectrum phone service as I have this device and I use Spectrum. It can however be used as a router attached to a modem that does support your phone service. At that point though there are tons of wireless routers on the market that can do that. Your cable/internet/phone provider keeps list of modems that they have tested, and most providers can even help you find this out over the phone. When it comes right down to it, they are the ones you should be asking this question to.
