This set features all episodes from the twenty-third season of the adult animation following a group of immature, foul-mouthed kids trying to cope with grade-school life in the bizarre town of South Park, Colorado.

Don't know how they do it after 23 seasons but this show still cracks me up. The format has changed a bit and they are allowing more continuity between episodes but that doesn't hurt.

It's rare for a foreign film to win the Best Picture Award but Parasite did just that. I've followed this director for a while and loved all his films. he does unusual quirky stories and characters and this one's no different. Lots of satire and social commentary in this one too. Worth watching a few times.

I read the Shining and love the classic Kubrick film and was excited to see the follow up story (never read the book) which doesn't disappoint. Ewan McGregor was a good choice for the grown up Danny Torrence. Rebecca Ferguson shines as the villainess and looks really good while doing it! yes there is a return to the Overlook for a final showdown. Check it out.

This is a History Channel production and an elaborate one. I didn't know all the details of the rivalry and it's a lesson in letting go of grudges before they ruin your life and family. Very well done with stellar performances from Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton with lots of great supporting roles as well. Not to be missed.
In this epic adventure of hope and empowerment, a cyborg, Alita (Rosa Salazar), searches for clues from her past when she awakens in a future world she does not recognize.

This is the film James Cameron almost made instead of Avatar. Handed it over to Robert Rodriguez who does it right. Based on the Japanese Manga, it is a feast for the eyes and has a good story to support the visuals. This is a planned franchise and I hope they make a sequel or two.
The Agatha Christie favorite is brought to life in this stylish adaptation by director and star Kenneth Branagh. While the Orient Express is temporarily delayed by an avalanche, Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot (Branagh) must sift through a long list of suspects as he tries to determine who among the passengers traveling on board the train is behind the murder of businessman Simon Ratchett (Johnny Depp). Top-notch cast also includes Pen~lope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley. 114 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English DTS HD 7.1 Master Audio, DVS 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles English (SDH), Spanish, French; featurettes; deleted scenes; audio commentary; more. I believe this has been done at least twice before but here we have a modern stellar cast of actors and another retelling with hints of more to come (a certain Nile adventure) Poirot's absurd mustache may distract some, but apparently it's closer to the way described in the books. A fun classic.

Well, everybody doesn't ride off into the sunset. The last trilogy of films in the franchise have taken a dark turn for all the characters from the middle trilogy. One wonders if Lucas had done these films if there wouldn't have been such dire fates. But the story is good and while some character development seems to have gotten shortchanged all in all it is a logical ending. Though with a franchise this popular "ending" may not be the appropriate word! :)

You would think after the last film "The Devils Rejects" that a sequel would be impossible. lol Well, it's a bit of a stretch but our favorite rejects manage to survive to entertain us with more murder and mayhem. It's actually quite good and just different enough to not be more of the same - something Rob Zombie seems to do quite well. You don't even necessarily have to see the first 2 films to enjoy.
The 9th film from Quentin Tarantino is a seriocomic mix of fact and fiction set in 1969 Los Angeles. As the sun prepares to set on Hollywood's Golden Age, fading TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) attempts to revive his career, and he and longtime stunt double and pal Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) find themselves crossing paths with actress Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) and several members of the Manson Family. With Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, Al Pacino, and Kurt Russell. 161 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Tarantino has once again slightly rewritten history as he did in "Inglourious Ba$terds" but meanwhile this is as you may have heard a "love letter to the golden age of Hollywood" or some such hype. It's all true and if you are of a certain age you will wax nostalgic at the black and white TV westerns and crime dramas of the time. Brad Pitt has the cherry role here as Rick Dalton's (DeCaprio) stunt double, though both do excellent work. Many of the Tarantino regulars make appearances if all too briefly. Highly recommended.
