Good full hd tv for light gaming and decent useage

I bought this as a decent tv for my “man cave” part of my garage and it does well for that. The picture and sound quality is great but not videophile level. It’s major limitation is there are only 3 hdmi inputs and no component input, so I had to use an hdmi switch to use all my three game consoles and also my blue ray 5.1 system on the arc. But the firetv part of the set allows me to have that working without another hdmi input needed.

Flat panel antenna with good metro signal

This antenna got 71 channels without the power adapter and more (85) when power was hooked up. Though mounted on a wall inline with broadcast towers direction it was easy and fast. Taped to wall with white side showing behind tv. Easy peasy! This was much better than one I tried 7 years ago that was not useful at all.

Renter very happy with the picture and results. Replaced older tube type 24" tv. Easy to set inputs ( dvd and antenna). Roku will come in handy for renters that will get internet.

I needed these to activate Dolby Atmos on a 2015 Onkyo tx-nr636 receiver I have. Recently I purchased a new vizio quantum tv and Fire tv cube and wanted to see if Atmos would enhance the 5.1 setup. These sit on top of my Front pioneer tower speakers reasonably well. It did, and these do a good job of adding overhead sounds to an existing setup, if your receiver supports Atmos. I likely will add a new 9 channel receiver to go to a 5.1.4 Atmos setup in a few months. Since these were an open box return at about 50% off they were a good buy.

Great hdr and gaming at a sale price!

After looking at all the sub $1000 tvs recommended on some web sites I decided on the vizio quantum mainly because of the sale price of $750 . The vizio also was the only set in a 70 inch size, which was the same as the 2015 set I replaced. The competitive sets were only 65 or 75 inch ones. The 75 inch sets were either much more cost (sony) or of inferior picture panels (several) while 65" sets were smaller at the same price point. The vizio has excellent hdr and dolby vision performance and meets my need for that and gaming without having to accept a smaller size set.

Where does this new U7N stand in comparison to the old-ish U8K, I was gonna grab the U8K but doesn't seem to be available through best buy anymore, and the newer U8N is a tad too expensive. Will this U7N be work it over the older U8K?
U8K has better brightness and contrast over the U7N, and will likely outperform it due to the K receiving software and firmware updates that bring it close to the U8N . The U7N
cannot match the U8K in brightness and contrast. the 75" version of both sets might have similar contrast and the U7N has a newer control set for better performance than the 8K or 7K.
