This is so cool - even has a third rack for big knives or utensils...and it's as quiet as a Bosch, for a cheaper price! It also fits medium sized cutting boards or large serving plates around the edges. Some racks have tines which can be raised or lowered to accommodate different sized dishes, which is awesome. This also has a better display that our Whirlpool dishwasher where you would have to squint to see the silvery letters. Really like this machine.

I would say the same for a dishwasher - just get the hose kit, because chances are, the hose looks fine, but the rubber seals are beyond their useful life. Save yourself the heartache, make sure they honor the warranty, and just get new hoses...period. *Also note if your washer needs a steam hose, to call them; I could not find one on the site, and one was not in the 'recommended items' section. Call Best Buy to have that added if necessary.

Our hoses were ok but I would recommend going with new to ensure they can warranty anything, including a leaking hose which causes water damage. Just spend the extra money to be sure you don't have dried out seals on your hoses that, from the outside, may appear intact.

When removing the old dishwasher, we learned that the connection was not up to code (or even wired in safely in a remote sense, having no ground wire attached). The installers took care of everything, getting the permit pulled, and performing the work the day it was promised. It was great that they were prepared with the usual items you might need in such a situation, on their truck, and didn't have to run to the store, delaying the process. Super impressed!

Heavier braided cables that the cat won't eat!

These cables have a braided sheath that keeps them from the usual abrasions and makes them less likely to kink or get bent. They're a little stiffer - they don't bend as easily as an Apple cable, but I'm ok with that. The cable strap is a nice touch, and is like a button through (p)leather, not noisy velcro, so another nice touch.

I would definitely recommend these as I can control them from the app even when I'm at a different house. I would also recommend getting the larger BTU unit, as the physical dimensions of the 12,000 unit are the same as the 8,000 unit. The remote is very basic, and it takes two clicks (or two remote button presses) to get it cranked up, but over all, these are good units.

Fairly quiet, decent app, remote could be better

I first purchased the 14,000 BTU unit, then later in the summer, only the smaller capacity unit was available. I would definitely recommend going bigger, esp with all the energy saving an monitoring features, and the dimensions were the same. The app is ok, but when you have multiple units, and re-open the app, the headline just reads Control and not which AC unit this is, so you have to go back to figure that out. Same with the remote and front controls. Someone thought the first button push should just beep and turn on the front panel lights, not actually do anything. And that's another annoyance - not having the controls lit up, you never know what state it's in until your second button push. But the surprisingly good things are, I can set up my units at two houses, and use the app to turn on an AC that's miles away, so the second location is cool when I arrive. This is making me want to ditch my last non-remote control AC. Finally, take a look at the remote - it's rather simple, and not like a high-tech remote with a light up screen or any notion of status. All that said, I'm giving these a good grade after a number of months of usage.

I do not want the icloud storage and i do not want to be charged for it. so how do i get this deleted?
If you have already accepted it/signed up, then go into the Apple App Store under your ID and you will see all subscriptions, and can cancel from there: Type App Store on the Mac then select your name in the bottom left. Click Account Settings at the top of the screen, then scroll down to the Manage section and select the Manage link beside Subscriptions.

Why can't I get the 5 yr Geek plan on appliances on my Total Tech acct? I either have to pay extra for installation of dishwasher with 5 yr or go thru total tech get free delivery/installation but only 2 yr protection.
I wish I knew why they don't offer it like that, but I compare extended warranty periods from L*wes and H8me Depot and appliance lifetimes (usually 3 years), and find that 5 years is practical. I didn't see the need for a Total Tech/GS membership, so we purchased the 5 year extended warranties on our appliances instead of the recurring monthly membership.
