Excellent build quality

I’ve owned this chromebook for about 6 months. I got it on a pre-black Friday sale.
Overall it’s a very good device. The build quality is excellent; it feels sturdy in my hands. It’s a little heavy (relatively speaking) because of the material it’s made of (ceramic and aluminum).
The performance is very good. The screen is bright and clear, the backlit keyboard is great, the processor is fast, touchscreen is very responsive and battery life is excellent! Apps download quickly. Enabling Linux allows me to use open source software like Libre Office as a Microsoft Office alternative.
This was my first venture into a personal chromebook (we’ve purchased them for the kids) and I’m pleased. This device is capable of doing the vast majority of what I used a PC for.
The only issue I’ve had is the rubber “feet” coming off. I wish the rubber strips were wider and glued down better. I used super glue, however, the residue from it takes away from the grippiness (yes folks, I made up a word!) of the rubber.
Overall, I’m satisfied and would recommend this product

Get it!

This is the best smart speaker and BY FAR, the best Echo.
When considering sound, this should be compared to the HomePod or Sonos Play:3, (not Sonos One). Sonos One is comparable by price only, not in sound.
Apple had the best "sounding" smart speaker... until I heard the Echo Studio. As other reviewers have mentioned, it has a wide sound stage, handles mids and highs nicely and provides nice bass. It sounds nice with all genres of music.
I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my second studio so I can pair them with my sub and FireTV 4K to use a soundbar.

Experience dynamic sound from this Roku wireless subwoofer. The 10-inch driver produces powerful, well-balanced audio, while the 802.11ac dual-band networking lets you play music wirelessly from your Roku TV. This Roku wireless subwoofer has a frequency response of 40Hz to 200Hz for efficient sound delivery, and the floor-standing design enhances stability and saves space.

Disappointed

This review is for the Soundbar/Sub combo
The GOOD:
-Solid build quality
-Easy, simple setup/pairing
-Integrated Roku streaming
-Clear dialogue
The BAD:
-Lacks punch
-Low volume
-No center channel
-Not good for music
SUMMARY:
For $300 (soundbar and sub), you can do better, much better.
For a 10" sub, this packs very little punch. It provides low end sound, but if you like to "feel" your bass (movies or music), this will certainly disappoint. To give perspective, I also have an Echo Sub (which has a 6 in driver). The Echo sub provides more thump than this 10 in.
I returned both the soundbar and sub and will buy the JBL 3.1 on Black Friday (assuming everyone considering this setup does not jump ship and buys them all).

Overall, pretty good!
I also have 3 2nd Echos and the Echo Plus 2nd Gen sounds better, fuller. The sound can easily fill a room, especially when stereo pairing. Although the sound can fill a room, it still is lacking. The sound is fuller than other Echo devices but I still wouldn't categorize it as a "full" sound. There's a little "twang" to it's sound. The sound is not as crisp as the Homepod (the best sounding smart speaker).
The speaker is very functional, easy to setup and simple up use

SOUND: For such a small device the sound is surprisingly good. It gets loud and sounds decently
clear. For a casual music listener you likely won't complain. Keep in mind these are not meant to compete with the Homepod or Sonos One. Stereo pairing sounds better than a single device.
FUNCTIONALITY: The speaker is very responsive to "Alexa." The two feature I like most are 1) drop-in and 2) Announcements. The drop-in feature allows the user to open communication with another echo device. Announcements act as intercom allowing you to send a message across all echo devices on the network.

Better than regular Echo but not impressive
By KathyH
The Studio is meh. It absolutely sounds better than the regular Echo but is far lower quality than the HomePod.
Alexa’s voice volume is waaaaaay louder than music and there doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust It down to a new default. I’ve tried setting a default volume in device settings. Alexa voice ignores it, although music does play at the set volume.
EXCEPT for alarms. Every morning I’m blasted awake at high volume. There seems to be no way to set it to stay for alarms — or at least it’s not obvious to me.
Additionally, Studio misses a lot of commands where the regular Echo didn’t. And when I say, “Alexa,” there’s no tone to let me know she’s awake.
I’m undecided. I’d like a better speaker. HomePod is superior than Studio but Siri is lousy compared to Alexa. I’ll most probably return Studio and try a different third party option.

Turn off "Spacial Enhancement"
November 20, 2019
Try disabling the spacial enhancement feature (in Audion Settings) and the speaker will get louder. For whatever reason, it's on by default and somewhat mutes the volume. Also, if you have an Echo Sub, pairing the two pushes the bass to the sub and allows all the power to go to the other speakers. The drastically increases volume

Very weak but ONLY option?!
By Hank
I got a formation wedge and love it but it definitely has some missing lows. I thought this would solve it, but man I got this bass added and it is SUPER weak. I have my bass at +12 db maxed out in the app and it is the low end of the SVS subs i use. I barely can hear my sub and sometimes have to put a hand near it to make sure it works/is even working. Is this normal for everyone else? The bass is tight because it doesn't have any oomph...no store near me has anymore in stock nor are any stores open for me to check if mine is just bad...or is this how they built it. I wish i could put a regular sub with my formation wedge. the next 30 days I will have to decide to maybe just go with bookshelves. Wanted to save space but the lack of options with the formation series makes you spend top dollar for subpar performance bass wise...
i wouldnt say im super picky audioholic but i do have the SVS SB12 and to compare too and this would be the SB12 at the 10% setting lol...

SVS and B&W have different objectives. SVS is more about slam and theatrical experience (not to say the bass isn't good). B&W is aimless for sound quality and integration. Anyone buying a B&W sub should keep in mind that seamless integration is their goal.

Boost your home theater audio with this 800W SVS subwoofer. Its Sledge Class D amplifier has plenty of peak power to handle intense sound effects, and the 13-inch high-excursion driver with an injection-molded gasket produces clean, accurate bass details. Decent sub, TREMENDOUS output
By HebertHumperdinck
Good not great. I have heard great things about SVS so I took the plunge. One thing that immediately stood or is the output given its rather compact size. It has TREMENDOUS output/power for it's size.
Integration is decent: not bad but not the best. The bass it produces seems overpower music as opposed you being a part of it. It stands out. Yes, yes, I am aware you can adjust gain and phase and a myriad of other things. In the end, I prefer the tonality and integration of the REL HT series and the Monolith by Monoprice (both of which I own) better. They better suit my needs.
If you need something compact and powerful, this may be a good choice. If you are coming from a Polk, Klipsch, JBL, Def Tech type sub, the SVS is an upgrade. Again, comparing to the subs I own, I don't like it as much.
For techie people who love fine grain control, you may love the app. You can control any/everything about this sub.
It definitely is not bad; I just wasn't overly impressed.

Response ot comment from Alex
December 16, 2021
Hi Alex,
I was truly surprised by how compact the SB-3000 pro is and how powerful it is. It is very compact! The SVS will extend lower and play louder than a single Klipsch's. Two Klipsch's vs a single SB-3000 may be a toss up volume wise. I have not heard the Klipsch's, but my guess is the SVS plays flatter and cleaner. Going from duals to a single, you will likely loose benefit of a more uniform bass response across multiple seating positions.
I cannot say if it is a upgrade because many feel that two (even less powerful, smaller) subs, when setup properly, is better than one.
If you want sealed subs for music, check out Rythmik Audio's L12. You can get two for about price of one SB-3000 and by most accounts, will sound much better for music
