I enjoyed this film quite a bit: it kept a good pace of tension which makes for a good thriller. The acting is good (no academy awards), and it did a good job of giving a glimpse into the operations of 911 call centers which is a fresh topic - and it did so without dragging the pace.

Riveting and engrossing film. Jake Gyllenhall is excellent in this. I couldn't wait to see this again and liked it even more the second time - I better understood just what was happening and I was more observant even though I knew the ending, I got a lot more out of the film itself.

Very surprised to see this version on Amazon prime! Resorted Japanese auto with English subtitles is the best! It’s 1974 Japanese crime/marshal arts exploitation. Seen it a million or more times. Never get old, Etsuko that plays Kuro is what made the film fame.

With the recent way of reboots and calibrating of past horror classics you would have thought a sequel 40 years would have more thought. The runtime of this movie killed the pace and the unexpected departure of a certain character was the nail in the coffin. This truly is the most disappointing sequel of all time removing all of the classic aspects of the original and creating a poor carbon. Pretend the end of the original film is the true ending and don’t watch this movie at all. It didn’t happen.
