Even though this film didn’t have a deeper feel to it, like I usually prefer in my films, I enjoyed every second of Pulse. In fact, it left me wanting more. I felt like I couldn’t get enough of that naughty electric pulse. I can see why not too many people paid attention to this: it does lack some things. The characters aren’t necessarily at the heart of this movie, but they’re good enough. The dialogue isn’t at all bad, but it still needed a little spicing up. The acting also deserved some real credit, as it was much better than I expected. The ending wasn’t predictable and that is always nice.

I love this movie! The music, the twisted fairy-tales and the oh-so-b-movie acting. I have missed it so. I wish they had a soundtrack available for purchase. The Main menu has a strange song I have never heard before on it that is a little annoying when you fall asleep watching it and then wake up to that freaking loop, but anyway. The cover is a bit misleading as well. It's a lot creepier than this goofy flick.

Best Werewolf I’v Seen

The effects look more convincing than American Werewolf in London and The Howling. Even when the creature is moving, which matters a lot ... a great looking creature who doesn't move looks phony just because that's so unnatural and all the more so from a violent, frenzied creature; and a creature who moves well but has stiff, unmoving features looks phony too. This werewolf looks better in some scenes than others, but is in a lot and often looks excellent.

Fun comedy for the whole family. I've enjoyed this movie ever since I saw it in the theater when I was just a kid, and I enjoy just as much if not more now that I'm an adult. John Goodman and Rick Moranis are great in their roles as Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.
