I bought this Samsung after my $1600 Sony bit the dust in 1 year. Not so much Son's fault as the fact that the tv got moved three times. Screen cracked and the Geek Squad protection does not cover that. This Samsung is not near as big and it isn't quite as vivid but for an open box purchase for $590 it fit what I had to spend. I'm very happy with it so far.
